Petition for his Removal of Father Michael Pfleger from the  Priesthood.

He is a disgrace to the Catholic church and its sacrements and everything that is holy.

He condones and incites criminal behavior and calls for the breaking of the ten commandments.

He promotes known radical hate mongers.

Example below of just one of his many escapades,  also please view the interview video attached.

'Snuff' the Gun Shop Owner, Priest Says

An Illinois gun-rights group says it plans to complain to the Catholic Church after a Chicago priest at the weekend appeared to call for the murder of a suburban gun shop owner.

During a Rainbow/PUSH Coalition protest at Chuck's Gun Shop & Range on Saturday, the Rev. Michael Pfleger, pastor of St. Sabina's Church, threatened to "snuff" shop owner John Riggio.

The Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA) has posted online what is says is a recording of Pfleger's remarks.

PflegerIn the audio clip, the priest is heard being introduced to the crowd by the Rev. Jesse Jackson. Immediately therafter, Pfleger launches into a tirade.

"I want the NRA [National Rifle Association] to understand - you have a lot of money, but money can't buy moral authority and it can't buy justice or freedom, and we will fight you, NRA," he says.

"We will fight you on every angle [sic], no matter how much money you've got, we will embarrass you, and we will embarrass every legislator that takes money from you. We will call them out by name, by district. We will expose you, legislators."

Pfleger then turns his attention to Riggio. "He's the owner of Chuck's. John Riggio. R-i-g-g-i-o. We're going to find you and snuff you out.  you know you're going to hide like a rat. You're going to hide but like a rat we're going to catch you and pull you out. We are not going to allow you to continue to hide when we're here bleep"

"We're going to keep coming back, and like Reverend Jackson says, it takes civil disobedience, if it takes whatever it takes bleep, we're going to snuff out John Riggio, we're going to snuff out legislators that are voting,  and we are coming for you because we are not going to sit idly. Keep on fighting, people. Keep on fighting, keep on fighting."

St. Sabina describes itself as a "Bible-teaching" African-American Catholic Church.

The day before the anti-gun protest, the church hosted former Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who was making a rare public appearance. Pfleger was quoted as describing the controversial Muslim activist as "a gift from God to a sick, sick world."

ISRA Executive Director Richard Pearson called it "shocking" to hear a priest advocate the murder of a gun shop owner "who has never committed a crime in his life."

"Pfleger's comments were disgusting and dangerous," Pearson said. "And, I seem to remember that the Fifth Commandment frowns on murdering one's neighbor," he added.

"This week, I'll be penning a letter to the Archbishop, expressing my concerns over Rev. Pfleger's comments," continued Pearson. "I would hope that the Archbishop would reply with words of comfort for Mr. Riggio, his family, state legislators, and all others who were injured by Rev. Pfleger's thoughtless, inflammatory remarks."

In a message on the church's website, Pfleger says he believes that "we are called by God to build this church in a world filled with division, alienation and racism in order that we may be a witness to the world that it is possible and that the love of God is stronger than the hate of Satan."

Rev Wright with pfleger !

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright got a raucous standing ovation when he entered Saint Sabina church on the South Side on Friday night, video from WBBM-TV showed. Members yelled Hallelujah! as Wright embraced the Rev. Michael Pfleger, Saint Sabina pastor.

The smiling Wright accepted an invitation to give the benediction at the Roman Catholic church but did not address the furor over his past sermons.

Afterward, he went into an office off the pulpit to greet audience members.

Cardinal George Tells Reverend Pfleger to step back - BUT Rev Pfleger is Bucking!!! Saying No to the Cardinal???

STATEMENT OF FRANCIS CARDINAL GEORGE, O.M.I.,
ARCHBISHOP OF CHICAGO
June 3, 2008
To put recent events in some perspective, I have asked Father Michael Pfleger, Pastor of St. Sabina Parish, to step back from his obligations there and take leave for a couple of weeks from his pastoral duties, effective today. Fr. Pfleger does not believe this to be the right step at this time. While respecting his disagreement, I have nevertheless asked him to use this opportunity to reflect on his recent statements and actions in the light of the Church regulations for all Catholic priests. I hope that this period will also be a time away from the public spotlight and for rest and attention to family concerns.
I hope also that the life of St. Sabinas parish may continue in uninterrupted fashion. Fr. William Vanecko, Pastor of St. Kilian%u2019s parish, will be temporary administrator of St. Sabinas and will assure the full complement of ministerial services during this period. I ask the members of St. Sabinas parish to cooperate with him and to keep him and Fr. Pfleger in their prayers. They are in mine.

ArchBishop overlooks child abusers and a radical, racist, pro-abortion priest
(Fr. Pfleger) and lets him stay at the same parish for over 30 years !

Even allowing Pfleger to adopt 3 little boys !

ArchBishop makes very bad decisions, he plans to reinstate Pfleger on June 16th,
inspite of a nationwide outcry.

Previous Poor Decisions made by the ArchBishop...

While ArchBishop George Francis of Chicago has had to deal with the fallout from
clergy sexual abuse cases from many years ago, he has come under fire for his
actions during a recent abuse case. George acknowledged that he had made
mistakes in the case of Rev. Daniel McCormack, who was charged with two counts
of aggravated criminal sexual abuse on January 21, 2006. It is alleged that
McCormack had abused two boys repeatedly from 2001 to 2005. Cardinal George has
faced criticism for allowing McCormack to remain at his post after allegations
first surfaced in August of 2005. McCormack was told to not have any
unsupervised contact with minors and had a personal monitor assigned to him.
Cardinal George has since indicated that had he known several months ago
what he knew now that he would have removed McCormack from his duties right
away. Cardinal George took some responsibility for the matter.
Despite claims of following the churchs' procedures for dealing with
child-molesting priests, Cardinal George made no attempt to contact the police.

It is all up to you now as individuals..I will just become another "recovering catholic."

Thank you all for your participation.

Sorry to say this racist Priest was allowed to return to the Pulpit after his brief suspension.. His first words.."I am not changing."
It looks like the ArchBishop of Chicago made another lousy decision.
The ArchBishop has turned a blind eye to Pflegers antics for years, and there have been plenty.
From adopting little boys, to treathening to kill a gun shop owner, and letting Farrahkan preach his hate from his chruchs' pulpit.
The ArchBishop in the past failed to report child abuse to the police, and let a priest continue on even though he was aware of the abuse.
I am thoroughly disgusted with the catholic church, I had hoped our petition would make a difference. As for me I will become a recovering Catholic. I am so done.

Thank you, for your participation sorry we failed to remove this disgraceful priest.

As a Girl who attended Catholic school I have never witness such hatred come out of a Priest. I actually have never have never witnessed such hatred come out of a full grown man..if I did I a sure he was drunk and I left that party. Perhaps a little anger management and therapy for that woman hater Mother Mary would be very sad.

There is no place in the Catholic Chuch for an egotistical, celebrity seeking, sexist, "woman hater" such as Pfleger. In no case should a priest be allowed to campaign for someone that believes that abortion is simply about a woman's right to choose. Or to campaign for someone whose cousin in Kenya has been responsible for the killing of Christians for political purposes while signing an agreement with muslims to win an election. This man needs to learn what humility is all about. It is not about making yourself famous or selling books. This man betrays everything that our Lord Jesus Christ stands for. It is the church's obligation to separate itself from this man. Tolerance and free speech have to have limits. Thank you and God bless you.

I have already comunicated with you and Archbishop Perry regarding Fr Pfleger. He displays a pattern of disobedience going back many years and shows many signs of psychological problems. His issues are impacting the Catholicity of the parish that he oversees; his pastoring fosters a focus on himself and not our Lord. He needs to be removed immediately. Your Eminence, please consider how you can he seen as a messenger of Catholic identity, when you allow a priest who negates the faith to remain in the role of pastor.

As a Catholic, it pains me to consider any more schism in the Church, for 500 years of schisms have pulled millions away from the Sacraments already. And I know that if removed, he will take his parish out of the Church and start on his own. But I know the Diocese has been lenient with him for years, and his response was always to inflame things more. He has thrown away his second chances - reassign him and let him leave the Church out of pride. Those who value their faith have dozens of neighboring parishes from which to choose to relocate to - this IS Chicago. Those who then follow his cult of personality were on their way out anyway. Time to lance the boil.

Your Eminence, I would like to add my voice to those of the many Catholics who are saddened and scandalized by Michael Pfleger's views and actions. I ask that he be removed from any position of influence and encouraged to act and speak in a manner more suited to his priestly vocation and in strict obedience to the teaching of the Church and our Holy Father. He is a disgrace to the priesthood. Thank you for your time and attention.

Fr. Phleger is scandalous and causing scandal in the Church. He either needs to be faithful to his priesthood or removed. Please do not let the "children" continue to be harmed by this man who does not preach the Christianity of Jesus.

I am appalled by this situation. It's hard enough to raise children and grandchildren in a society that is so depraved. After so many scandals committed by our own priests, how can Catholics not feel totally betrayed by the Church heirarchy when "Madman Pfleger" is restored to his pastorship? How am we supposed to square this with old fashioned Catholic Doctrine? Prleger is a disgrace to the Church... he MUST be removed from the priesthood.

Enough nonsense. The Catholic Church has to take a leadership position. The world doesn't need hate preaching nut jobs from any religion and especially the Catholic Church. Stand up for right or die. Nut jobs like Pfleger will help minimize your church just when the world needs you to be strong.

Remove this racist, Fr. Pfleger from the pulpit and from the Church. Christ did not preach racism against whites and hate. Get this bigot out of the church. You have removed priests who chose to get married, so remove this bigot---a real sinner.

Father Pfleger of Chicago IL does not deserve to be a priest. I cannot believe the Church is allowing him to return to service at his parish, where he will lead the parishioners into a mindset of hate and racism. For too long, the Church ignored the priest sex scandals, and those priests were not removed from their positions. Please please do not add to the embarrassment of the church by ignoring this man, also. I am a practicing Catholic, a member of St. George Parish in Baton Rouge, LA.

While it is the duty of the church to forgive, forgiveness is predicated on contrition, something this defiant man has stedfastly refused to acknowledge. Doctrinally indefensible, to let it stand by allowing him to continue in his post would be a moral as well as public relations disaster!!! The Archdiocese, the council of American Bishops and the Pope personally need to publically denounce this man’s actions by defrocking him. Without a public denounciation of Pfleger the Church demonstrates the type of actions that are exactly what people dislike about the Church.

By rejecting the tenents of his faith, and the decisions of the Pope, Father Pfleger (of Chicago, IL) has proven that he needs spiritual retreat, personal reflection, and much prayer. He does not need to be in charge of a large inner-city church.

What does the presidential race have to do with sharing God's love. What does any of what this man or Rev. Wright spewed from the pulpit have to do with the good news of our Savior Jesus Christ?

This is not a man of the cloth! A man of God should be bringing people together, not pitting them against each other! I am very saddened that he has been allowed to carry on in this manner for a number of years. He knows he can get away with these theatrics and that is why he continues to do so. Why has he been allowed to stay at this church for so long?? He needs to be removed from the priesthood altogether!!

Fr. Pfleger should be permanently removed from the priesthood. His rants indicate a profoundly misguided sense of his obligations as a shepherd of Christ's flock. He is no credit to the Churck.

Please consider the feelings of your rank and file Catholics. We have enough to contend with and the apparent scenario of Fr. Pfleger's repeated belligerence toward the legitimate authority of the Catholic Church is not doing anything to help heal the church in the united states, nor is it inspiring trust in the Church heirarchy. Simple televised speeches of Fr. Pfleger's such as "the church doesn't have the balls to fire me, if they want to fire me let them show some balls" is scandalous to the rest of us boring ordinary Catholics. We are not asking you as Fr. Pfleger did, to have "balls". We are asking you to put this matter to rest, remove Fr. Pfleger from a position of scandalising, humiliating the Church, and from misrepresenting ALL Catholics with his temper tantrums. Threatening to murder the gun shop owner for instance- that is a temper tantrum. Trying to force his own way and it is intolerable in a Catholic priest. Openly, on national television, endorsing a political candidate as radically pro choice as Obama, is intolerable in a Catholic priest. Claiming the magesterium does not have "the balls" to fire him is intolerable in a Catholic priest. Please remove Fr. Pfleger from active ministry for a significant period of time. Two weeks is not acceptable.

How embarrassing for a priest in the Catholic Church to speak in such hateful terms. It is disappointing and unacceptable that the Chicago archdiocese is allowing this man to return to offer mass and speak from the pulpit.

As a former Catholic and current Christian I would like to see the Church, the body of Christ do the right thing. God calls us to forgive but this person should no longer be in leadership of the body of Christ because he is most certainly doing the work of the devil.

Fr Pfleger is a poor representative of the Catholic church. He promotes and fosters racial tension with his rantings and should be removed. Love and tolerance is part of our Catholic teachings.

Just another example of someone using their spiritual credentials to arouse political furvor. If Father P really believed in Scripture and the Power of the Holy Ghost, he would encourage his "consituents" to pray fervently and then act and vote with moral and spiritual conscientiousness--not whip crowds into a demonic frenzy using the devil's language. May God's will prevail in this circumstance and may HE be glorified in the outcome. I think it is important for the Catholic hierarchy to draw a line between Christ-centered community assistance and misguided political activism. Give this priest a permanent vacation.

I am a proud Catholic from the Bible Belt South, who joined the Church as an adult, much to abject horror of my Protestant family. I love the Catholic Church and defended her during the child abuse scandals. However, I am ashamed of the behavior of Father Pfleger. I am even more ashamed of the lack of APPROPRIATE disciplinary action by the Archdiocese and Cardinal George. Father (and I hate to give him the courtesy of that title) Pfleger is in dire need of spiritual and psychological counseling. BY NO MEANS does this pathetic, lost man need to be leading or ministering to others. He needs to be permanently removed from the priesthood. If he is of humble spirit and seeks forgiveness, then he can join a monastery and spend the remainder of his days reflecting on the harm his behavior has caused. If he is allowed to continue in ANY leadership position within the Church, he will most certainly turn away MANY from the Church, if not from religion all together.
