Repair of Rodeo Gulch Road

The recent winter storms have again caused severe damage to Rodeo Gulch Road, specifically two slides which have reduced the road to a single lane of traffic..  In addition to the inconvenience caused to the residents of this area, these slides are a serious safety hazard. 

The location of the slides on curves and the limited visibility may likely result in accidents with serious injuries.  The extent and condition of the slides could also result in complete loss of the road if they are not repaired before next winter.

While we understand the widespread road damage in the County and the limited funds available, we believe that these slides on Rodeo Gulch Road should receive the highest priority from the County. 

A previous slide on Rodeo Gulch Road was repaired in the summer of 2010 after the residents of this area lived for three years with a single lane of traffic and many near misses of accidents at that area.  We cannot wait another extended period for repairs to be made.  This will surely result in injuries and/or complete failure of the roadway.
