Reposition the new Sky Sports Team/Score banner.

With the arrival of the new football season Sky Sports has made various changes to their presentations. While most are positive there has been very vocal criticism of the new location, and Opacity, of the new team/score banner.

Rather than leaving it in it's traditional top left position, which for the vast majority of the time merely obscured the crowd, Sky Sports have decided to move it to the bottom left of the screen which now obscures players, corners and to a lesser extent goal mouth action.

Sky Sports have attempted to justify this decision by stating that various "experiments" were carried out using previous Premiership and League footage and the new location was chosen as a result.

We, the paying customers, respectfully request that the banner is relocated to it's historical position.

Update - 15th August - Thanks to KeanosMagicHat of AVforums here is a Youtube clip that demonstrates the new banner in action - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgvBE_TwERo

While short, and admittedly the quality isn't great, it does show players being obscured by the new banner.

Update 20th August - Sky are still deleting entries on their official Sky Sport messageboard/forum...

On a positive note more videos are appearing on Youtube.

Update 26th August - Well we may be seeing a change if reports from Sky are to be believed.

"Dear David

Thank you for your email.

I can advise that the scoreboard will be reverting back to the same as last season's broadcasting. However, I am unable to give you a time scale of when this will happen, only to say that it should be soon.

Your interesting views and comments have been noted with Sky Sports for their information. Sky always welcome viewers feedback and many thanks again for contacting Sky.

Kind regards

Janette Forsyth

I'll contact  Sky myself first thing Tuesday morning to see if they can confirm this email is genuine and hopefully clarify this on here later that day. In the mean time we need to continue adding signatures to the petition and I'd ask you all to continue passing out the petitions details to all your family and friends.

Update 28th August - No reply from Sky as yet but notice something different tonight?
