Restoring Pequannocks Athletic Fields

We the undersigned...your constituents of Pequannock Twp. are very disappointed with the condition of the Athletic Fields within the Boards jurisdiction. The fields are comprised of mostly weeds as the grass turf has been severely neglected. In the areas of most usage of the fields even the weeds are challenged to survive leaving our children to play in the dirt and dust. The fields are not level, and the surfaces contain divots that present extreme safety issues. There are already numerous injuries ranging from sprains to torn Ligaments to bone Fractures that are the direct result of the poor field conditions; and this is an outrage! The fields are also an embarrassment to the community and affect the value of our real estate. As part of the same community, and with children of your own utilizing these fields we don't understand how the Members of the Board could let the deterioration come this far...Therefore We the People that elected you are demanding immediate resolve to this crises. Thank you very much for your time.

The Pequannock Township Board of Education%u2019s Athletic and Co-Curricular Committee is hosting a public meeting to discuss a long range plan to upgrade and maintain the school district%u2019s athletic fields. All of the school%u2019s fields are included in the plan. The plan was presented to the Board of Education on October 4th, 2010.
This is your opportunity to understand, comment and make recommendations on what is in the plan. It is extremely important to have a strong showing at this meeting.
