I've worked for the FDIC for 19 years and she's the best chairmen we've had since Seidman. She understands the industry and what's important. We must keep her.

As a democrat, I support Sheila Bair as our Chairman. She has been supportive of Federal employees, unlike the previous chairman under the Bush Administration. She holds high expectations, that employees are willing to live up to, because we know our work will be appreciated under her leadership.

Just in the short time she has been with the FDIC, I can see she is working sincerely to address some issues that have been a problem for some time. A good leader is a good leader, no matter what their party affiliations.

Chairman Bair is widely respected by FDIC examiners for her intellegence and commitment in dealing with the current financial crisis as well as for her fair and honest communications to employees. Ms. Bair is an extremely valuable asset to the Corporation.

Chairman Bair has worked hard to serve her country and do what's best for its citizens, rather than just using her position for political gain. She is also a highly competent manager, both technically and administratively.

I think Chairman Bair has done an outstanding job and should be retained as the Chairman of the FDIC.

As I view instances of addressing the foreclosure, I am concerned about the impending changes that might occur at FDIC. The greatest concern at present is continuity of the FDIC program to address the foreclosure program. To allay disruptions of what looks to be a promising program to address the foreclosure workout issue, I recommend retaining Sheila Bair as Chair of the FDIC. At present, Ms. Bair seems to be on track in addressing the immediate issues concerning foreclosures that can be applied nationwide at all financial institutions to alleviate the foreclosures that are devastating not only the homeowners, but also the numerous state and municipal governments that must provide services to these communities.

As an FDIC employee of 33 years, I support Ms. Blair to continue as Chairman of the FDIC. Her competence is exemplary. She demonstrates a balanced perspective of financial institutions and FDIC employees.

I am not an employee but a tax paying citizen and I whole heartedly support the retention of Shelia Bair as head of one of the most important agencies in this country today. Fortunately I am not one of those whose mortgage is in jeopardy but I wholeheartedly support her positions. Fixing the mortgage default problem could be the beginning of restoring consumer confidence and thus improve economic conditions in this country. She IS the right person for this important task.

Chairman Bair should be retained. She's been a great Chairman, righting many wrongs by her horrible predecessor. She's been calm and precise in the wake of the current crisis, created by other leaders now given to criticize her. If someone needs to be replaced, make it Bernanke. He's destroying the U.S. dollar. A total incompetent.

Ms. Bair is an effective and respected leader at FDIC. I admire her for her non-partisan brand of politics and for trying her best to honor her fiduciary duty to the insurance fund and the taxpayers. IMO she trys to ensure that these large banks that have been at the heart of the current financial crisis do more towards implementing meaningful mortgage loan modifications. Also, as a steward of the insurance funds, she trys to make sure these banks don't walk away with store and that they give up something in return for government assistance. It's refreshing to see this type of leadership from Ms. Bair when it seems some other top regulators still want to bend to the will of the big banks. Way to go Chairman Bair, and if you would like to stay on at FDIC, I hope President-elect Obama will keep you on as a part of his administration.

I have been an employee with the FDIC for 19 years and Chairman Bair has been the best Chairman we ever have. She is the only Chairman that cares for her employees. She doesn't see us as a number but as a person who is important in the corporation. She is an excellent leader!

Ms. Bair is clearly a good choice to lead the charge during this current financial crisis. she has the credentials and to change out the FDIC Chairman in the middle of the stream would put the FDIC into a tailspin and have them hopping to reinvent the wheel for the new chairman. That is NOT what this country needs at this point, a reorganizing FDIC.

Chairman Bair is arguably the best FDIC chair since Bill Seidman in my 20+ years of being with the Corporation. She is a motivator, concerned for the people who work for her, concerned for the public good, and one of the few in the current administration that has made a difference. She is unconcerned about the politics and speaks loud and strong for what she believes in and as a voice for the troubled consumer.

Chairman Bair has definitely made a great impact at the FDIC and for the banking industry. Without her everything will have to start from scratch and all her accomplishments go to waste! We need her to continue the great work she has started. She has been the best Chairman in my 23 years at the FDIC.

I support retaining Chairman Bair. Her retention is essential to the recovery of the banking industry and improving the deterioration of our financial markets. She promotes a culture of respect, empowerment and integrity within FDIC that makes each employee feel valuable, appreciated and respected. To lose her leadership would be a loss not only for the employees of FDIC, but for the banking industry and the nation. She has effectively improved morale which was destroyed by her predecessor.

FDIC Chariman Shelia Bair is attempting to manage the banking industry as well as ensure main street America gets a fair deal from the industry. It is a hard job given the state of the economy, but Ms. Bair is attempting to do the right thing. I think she should stay thru the next administration's term.

Ms. Bair is exactly the Chairman FDIC needs at the helm for this time of National crisis. She is one of the most knowledgeable Chairman FDIC has had, fully grasping the short and long term impact of decisions. She is the type of leader you show seek to lead and advise your administration at such a time as this.

In my opinion, Chairman Bair has restored our regulatory reputation within the banking industry and the greater community at large. As an employee of FDIC, I feel that Chairman Bair cares and welcomes my opinions and she has created a workplace that encourages open, constructive dialogue. I feel a renewed sense of integrity within the Corporation which has translated to employees giving "200 percent" to get the job done.

Chairman Bair is the best chairman that we have had in the last 20 years. To replace her during this time would be the worst thing that could be done to the FDIC. I believe that she is not only great for the FDIC employees and what the FDIC stands for, but she is great for the American Public as she has all of our best interests at heart. She is a spectacular leader and is an excellent communicator. Please do not replace her!!!!!

The FDIC needs a steady hand on the wheel during this troubled time. The worst is a head of us and the FDIC can not afford to founder while a change in leadership is searched for. The FDIC needs strong leadership and it needs it now.
