Microsoft XBOX 360 RROD

Target:
Microsoft (800) 4MY-XBOX
Sponsored by:

The Xbox 360 is a powerful gaming system that involves multitasking technologies.  This system has been available to the public since 2005, and is currently making its way across the world.

There is a design flaw that has millions of users extremely angry and upset.  The Xbox 360

has a soldering problem in the bga.   Once it reaches its’ melting point, the solder begins breaking from the bga and creates the Red Ring of Death.  This issue has affected me and millions of people world wide and the results of fixing, and repairs from Microsoft are not

any better.

I have purchased three Xboxs, one from launch, one in 2007, and one in 2009,  each and every unit is  (RROD).  There is a fix that DIY users take upon themselves and apply to there own consoles but it voids the warranty.   This fix is a process that includes reflowing your gpu processor so that the solder reconnects to the bga under the graphics chip.  Once done, the system will work again but does not guarantee the process as a permanent fix.

When returning your box to Microsoft, in return you will get either a new Xbox or your refurbished system.  It may work for some time or it can RROD again..

Microsoft has a return policy of which error codes can be returned for proper repair and which codes cannot , the cannot codes will require an additional repair fee.  I firmly believe that Microsoft needs to change it’s repair policy so all repair codes will be free of  charge.

I believe since Microsoft is well aware of the problem – hence the reason for free code repairs and non free code repairs. There are millions of xbox fans who wish to continue playing there consoles without having to wait for repair returns (sometimes as much as two to four weeks).

I myself enjoy Microsoft gaming systems, however this issue has yet to be solved by Microsoft which continues its practice of free repair codes and (cost) repair codes.  In today’s low economy

I would think this issue needs to be addressed in the customers favor –

 DON’T YOU AGREE?
