We currently subscribe to the Shield-O Terraces wireless T-1 service provided by Sopris/Skybeam. This service is about one-third the speed that it is supposed to be for T-1 service (1.5Mbps). We have spoken with Skybeam several times to no avail. They are the only service in the area and we would certainly welcome and support another provider.

I have terrible internet access at the moment, and cannot get Comcast to extend its service to me even though its cable runs just a few hundred feet from my front door (on the opposite side of Highway 82). I am therefore stuck with DSL through my phone line, and it works at a very slow speed and only about 80% of the time, thanks to degraded infrastructure of Qwest. Please give me reasonable internet speed and reliability!

For all of us living in rural places-this would be huge! My parents in Woody Creek have been in a no-man's land....

This service is way overdue in our area. Please consider making broadband internet access available to rural customers.

I am a photographer and it is necessary for me view video over the Internet to do my work competitively. I can't do that with the slow wireless service I'm getting from Skyband (Sopris.com) which is the best service available to someone living on Shield-O Mesa in Old Snowmass.
