DogsInDanger identifies dogs in danger of being euthanized, hoping the public to take action to save each dog.

You may have heard or seen the recent controversy regarding PACCA's refusal to participate in DogsInDanger effort at identifying shelter dogs slated for euthanasia.  In brief, PACCA's argument is/was that they do not assign euthanasia dates to the thousands of dogs that have or will die there.

If the dogs are dying, and we all agree that dogs are dying at PACCA, surely there is some methodology for selecting those dogs. PACCA stated in writing that %u201Cwhen a dog is in imminent danger of death they send out mass emails to try to preserve that dog%u2019s life.%u201D Well, when you%u2019re starting to send those emails, why not just post the dog on DogsInDanger... it%u2019s another tool, it%u2019s free, it takes seconds!

Please help us tell PACCA how you feel, help us tell PACCA "it's only about the dogs" and that DogsInDanger WORKS for those sad dogs!  In fact remind them that 88% of the dogs listed with DogsInDanger have been saved...don't the dogs of Philadelphia deserve this chance too?

We the undersigned believe that dogs that are slated for euthanasia deserve every chance at life.  DogsInDanger is a free tool that works!  We can't understand why PACCA is unable to work with DogsInDanger to help the thousands of dogs PACCA is unable to find homes for each year.  We ask that PACCA reconsider it's position on the issue and reach out to DogsInDanger in the spirit of selflessness that is required of this issue/field.

Please find common ground with DogsInDanger, find a way to work with them, and find a way to save those poor dogs in imminent danger of death.

my daughter and i are excited to move into our new house. i promised her a dog when we got a house. We will be going to our local human society to adopt a dog or two as well. I wish more people would adopt. People are so concerned about having a purebred but i dont think that many people realize that there are many purebreds in the larger cities. Just in my experience iv had both a pound dog and a dog from a breeder. My pound dog was much more loyal was more friendly and more protective. that is why i'll always get a dog from the pound before i get one from a breeder.

This is unbelievable. there is nothing wroing with these dogs! the lack of space is what is causing them to be put down and that is extremely unfair to these innocent animals! we all need to work together to make a difference for these animals! every dog deserves a chance

I CANT STAND TO SEE THESE DOGS DYE. THEY NEVER ASKED TO BE BORN IT IS ALMOST LIKE KILLING A CHILD YOUR PET SHOULD BE LIKE A KID TO THE OWNERS. WHY DONT YOU GO TO THE ORPHANAGE AND PUT THE UNWANTED KIDS IN A BOX AND GAS THEM. KIDS AND ANIMALS ARE THE SAME THEY NEVER ASKED TO BE BORN OR MISTREATED. WHERE DOES IT END. ARE WE THAT HEARTLESS.

This is just wrong to put down an animal simply due to a lacking in space. Maybe shelters should lower their adoptions costs so that more people decide to adopt from them.

I agree that I would have more dogs if they were not so expensive to purchase. So far we have two babies that we love. I wish all shelters would participate in this program!

im sorry i really feel sorry for these dogs but i feel if you would lower the prices on the adoption more people would be ablt to buy them and have something set up for low income people so they can have a discount to and senior citizen should have a discount i know it cost money to keep them but there is times i would of went home with 3 dogs if the price wasnt so high so please lower the pirce and have discount for low income just cause they are low income doesnt mean they cant afford a dog or cat and for senior citizen to

How can you kill an innocent animal just to make room in a shelter. would you go to a homeless shelter and kill all the humans who couldnt afford to take care of themselves? Just so you could make room at the shelter for others. Animals are just like humans. They feel emotions like we do. They cry, love, and are over whellmed with happyness just like any human. They give support to others who need them, and with the right training they can hold jobs. A animal that you killed in a shelter could of been a recused dog if givin the chance. The pup could of been taught how to take care of the blind or help a disabled person. animals of all kind make this world so great and enjoyable to witness. Who gives Shelters the right to play god and take away a life just because there isnt room for them. If there is not enough room in the shelter...than expand, do more foster homes, get the word more out about adoptions, ask for donations. If space is running low than do a better job at getting the animals adopted. The animals rely on us. we are their protectors and providers. they need our help and who are we to turn our back on them. It is our duty, our purpose to take care of the less fortunate, so do not take away the animals hope, future, and life of the animals that could of made a loving aspect to someone's home. They desver a chance like anyone else. so I ask of you to step up and take honor in giving these animals that would be killed for unnessarcy means a chance. A chance to hope, a chance to explore, A chance to belong, a chance to love, a chance to LIVE.

Why would you choose to be in a shelter environment if you don't care about saving the dogs? Dogsindanger.com has an 88% success rate when listing dogs on their site. How WONDERFUL for the precious, innocent dogs! Won't you PLEASE let them help you save these dogs instead of just killing them? Have a heart, please. Save lives, don't destroy them. They didn't ask to be there with you in the shelter. Give them a chance at love!!!

Please participate in DogsInDanger in the effort to identify shelter dogs slated for euthanasia. I believe that society has slated the way we feel about our pets. So many people have created this culture where they are taking away how animals really mean to us. They dress them up and dye their hair and nails. It gives the opinion that animals are plastic like some people. In fact their not. They depend on us like real humans like babies. They depend on us to feed them and love them and protect them. In exchange they just want to love us forever. Please participate, just imagine the impact you will have on saving a life.

last february i took in a stray that we found sitting on the side of the road, just watching cars pass.lots of people just drove right by her.she was extremely under weight and the vet thought she was about 4 months old and had been either abused or hit by a car because she has a hip injury that did not heal right. She is one of the best things to ever happen to my husband and I.Please dont take away the chance for a dog to find a loving home and to become some families loving new memeber.
