Please use your power for justice in this case based on the particulars of this case. Sometimes the letter of the law is abusive as in this case.

As a Christian I am opposed to the taking of human life by another. However, the evil of an adults attack on a child is one of such deep and life changing depravity that it is little wonder that more of us have not taken such action against our abusers and therefore in these circumstances I think that this killing was, as someone else points out, an act of self defence and Aaron does not deserve to spend one more day in custody. Indeed, society owes him an apology because we have yet to properly tackle the scourge of child abuse and it is therefore inevitable that such actions against abusers take place. It's akin to an act of war. Adults who hurt children have commited an atrocity and they must be prepared to accept the consequnces. If society continues to turn a blind eye then victims are justified in fighting back.As you know, child absue is a massive problem here in the UK and we stand right by Aaron on this. God bless you. I too am a sexual assault survivor. My perpetrator did only one year in prison after I endured 15 years of abuse. There is no justice for those of us abused in most cases. Its just not right. I live in fear everyday of his return. Not a day goes by that i dont think i should have done the same, maybe I would have been able to spare my daughter the same heart ache!

Make sure you look at this case from every angle and do not hide anything. If folks did report Darrell McNeill the PD dropped the ball. That must be taken in to consideration. It is a critical piece of the puzzle. It sounds as though Aaron had no one but himself to protect him.

I know Aaron will be affected by this for the rest of his life. He does not need to be locked up. His abuser has made him suffer more than life in prison. I was a victim. It leaves mental scars that never go away. you dont watch certain movies. you dont mention certain subjects. etcs. I was a victim of a pedophile when I was sixteen. He got me drunk and when he thought I had passed out he put his hands down my pants. I woke up to find him fondling my genetalia, when I caught him he got more agressive and forced his private parts on me. He was my girlfriend's father and although I was a little confused by his actions I never told anybody. He may have done other sexual things to me after that night, he liked to take me fishing and get me drunk. He used to take my brother and my best friend fishing too, I know he molested my brother and I suspect he did the same to my best friend. All three of us have suffered from substance abuse issues, I have been sober for three years, my best friend is dead and my brother is in his thirties, lives with our parents and hasn't drawn a sober breath in I don't know how long. This man was eventually caught but no criminal charges were filed, no authorities were notified. He was kicked out of his church and sent to away to get help for his mind. After he got caught he didn't apologize to me. While he was alive he never even tried to ask my forgiveness. Whe a pedophile molests a child he molests the childs parents, friends, relatives and all who will care about him in the future. I can't tell you what I ate for lunch two days ago but I can tell you every detail about the summer night in 1983 when I was RAPED by a sick,twisted PREDATOR.
