Save Aaron Tabachnik's Body from Being Cremated

PLEASE HELP BURY A JEWISH SON

A Jewish father is trying to reclaim his sons body and bury him in the Land of Israel. Unfortunately the son’s mother is determined to cremate the sons body, even going so far as wanting to donate his skin and eyes to science, a grievous violation of Jewish Law and one causing great pain to the already anguished father. In Jewish Law, the body must be buried intact, in the ground.

The father lost at a hearing, and there is a desperate need to hire an experienced appellate attorney to appeal the judgment.

This is a mes mitzvah. A Mes Mitzvah is when there is a Jewish body that has no-one to bury. It takes precedence over many other aspects of Jewish Law. So great is the imperative to bury a mes mitzvah that other mitzvahs can be delayed or disregarded in order to perform it.

Burying a Jewish body is the most important thing to the Jewish Nation.

Re: Aaron Tabachnik

Dear Judge Speiser:

We, the undersigned, respectfully urge you to consider that the burial of a Jewish body is the most sacred act to the Jewish Nation.

We urge you to consider how painful it is to Aaron’s Jewish father, and to Jews around the world, that his family would face the prospect of never being able to visit his son’s gravesite.

We urge you to consider the pain and hurt that cremating Aaron’s body would cause to his grieving father, and to Aaron’s entire extended family.

We urge you to consider that the least restrictive solution to the dispute in this case is that Aaron be buried in accordance with Jewish Law.
