Last week a London, Ont., judge sided with doctors and a medical board and allowed the city's Children's Hospital to take steps this week that would enable doctors to remove a breathing tube from 13-month-old Joseph Maraachli.

Joseph's parents had fought the removal of life-support and when the hospital sought the legal authority to do so, pleaded for doctors to perform a tracheotomy that might allow them to try to take their son home.
 A hustle by pro-life and anti-euthanasia groups resulted in a change in legal counsel, which has led to at least a temporary stay of removal of the child%u2019s ventilator. 

Alex Schadenberg, head of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition, informed LifeSiteNews Sunday evening that negotiations are underway to transfer Joseph to a hospital in Michigan.
