Save Cedar Creek Battlefield from Expansion of Mining Operations

For the past decade Carmeuse Lime and Stone have been decimating Cedar Creek Battlefield in Virginia for Limestone. They've destroyed acres and acres of this historically significant battlefield. I urge you as citizens of the United States and the World to sign my petition to stop the destruction of this famous historical landmark. Do you want to see beautiful farmlands and forests being destroyed because of this unexceptable behavior. In 2009 the owner and operator of Carmeuse Lime and Stone requested an expansion permit that will destroy even more parts of this historically sensitive Battlefield. After countless months of fighting and emotional desecration the owner had won his request! Now in a few years they will destroy more farmland and trees because of his win. Help me preserve, protect, and defend this battlefield for future generations and help me and the Civil War Preservation Trust make sure they do not expand their mining operations elsewhere. Fight for the Soldiers who died for the change of our Country.
