Save Delta's heritage Kittson residence from demolition

The Kittson residence on Ladner Trunk Road is one of the most beautiful and highly-visible of Delta's heritage buildings, and in fact all of Metro-Vancouver's history of farming culture, located as it is within clear view from busy Highway 99. The yellow 1907 house is currently slated for demolition.

As residents of Delta or neighbouring communities, we agree with Coun. Anne Peterson's desire to save the Kittson residence at 9230 Ladner Trunk Rd from demolition and give it status on Delta's heritage register. We support the restoration of this residence, and to this end we would like to see political support, if not fiscal support, from the Delta Council as well.

For example, if the current owner has no desire to restore the house, the Council might facilitate whatever zoning changes and divisions of the lot would allow for a sale of the house alone, to a more heritage-minded owner.
We the undersigned would like to see the Kittson residence at 9230 Ladner Trunk Rd saved from demolition and given status on Delta's heritage register.
