As students, we must display how passionate we are about our program. We want to graduate in 4 years with a complete education based on hands-on experience and critical thinking skills that we gain exclusively through a 4-year university, liberal arts setting. The Design Department at UC Davis is unique among the UCs and is based upon the idea of providing students with both studio and lab experience, while teaching fundamental ideas about design in a classroom setting. We are the innovators of the future!

The University needs to acknowledge the design department. It needs to provide its students with a decent amount of classes so that we can all graduate on time. This major adds to the diversity of UC Davis, and it's hard to comprehend why such a popular major continues to be faced with cuts and shortages in all areas. If fees are going to be increased then I want to see my money go towards the design department. We should not be paying more in return for less.

I've always thought the creativity in Davis should be acknowledged much more then it is currently. With what's happening to the design department, it will discourage even more people from displaying their creativity for others to acknowledge. UC Davis should not let students down and by not paying more attention to this department will be a mistake.
