ARGYLL AND BUTE COUNCIL WISH TO CLOSE 11 OF ITS PRIMARY SCHOOLS AS A WAY OF CUTTING %uFFFD15 MILLION OVER THE NEXT 3 YEARS. LUSS PRIMARY SCHOOL IS ONE OF THESE. HOWEVER, EVEN USING THEIR OWN FIGURES, WE CAN PROVE THEIR IS NO SAVING TO BE MADE BY CLOSING THE SCHOOL.
NOT ONLY THIS BUT:
It will forever end the education of children from the village and surrounding areas going back almost 300 years in an exemplary and award-winning school which provides unique learning opportunities due to its location in the National Park
That Hermitage Primary School will not provide a better education than Luss Primary School, they are taught from the same curriculum
Remove the choice of parents who have specifically chosen to send their children to Luss Primary School, because of the education offered there
Children travelling for at least 35 minutes, over 18 miles on dangerous roads, everyday
Have a devastating effect on the village of Luss and its community and forever change its future
