Tell the MSPCA to cut salaries & stop closing shelters!

The MSPCA (Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) has just announced that it will be closing three of it's shelter locations by the end of 2009, while the salaries of it's directors and president soar above six figures.  Each MSPCA shelter takes in an estimated 100 animals per-week, and with these closures those animals will face an uncertain fate.  Please tell the MSPCA to cut the salaries and save the shelters for the sake of the animals!
We the undersigned request that you re-evaluate your plans to close your Brockton, Springfield and Martha's Vinyard shelter locations.  We propose that funds from the director's and president's six figure salaries be re distributed to keep these shelters open.
We know that times are tough, everyone is feeling the crunch but it seems against your mission statement to use your limited funds to pay your directors at a detriment to the animals in your care.   We urge you to reconsider your choices and their repercussions and do the right thing, for the sake of the helpless animals you are abandoning.

Thank-you for taking the time to read our letter, and we hope that you take our advice and change your plan.
