Incredibly, they could be lost to developers if the City tries to go ahead with any of the ill-conceived options proposed for the Harry Jerome Recreation Centre at Lonsdale & 23rd.

Implications include mega-density and mega-development forced through on park land:

trashes the Official Community Plan
traffic congestion; parking nightmares
drastic social change
loss of playing fields and jogging track
tennis courts gone
loss of views and quality of life
financial risk for the City of North Vancouver

A repeat of the Vancouver Olympic Village fiasco? Do not let it happen!
