There is an enormous rush to get this into law within the next 2 weeks before people realize what is happening.

Main backer and lobbyist is (guess who) Monsanto

This Bill will require organic farms to use specific fertilizers and poisonous insect sprays dictated by the newly formed agency to "make sure there is no danger to the public food supply".

If this passes then NO more heirloom clean seeds will be allowed, only Monsanto genetically altered seeds that are now causing unexpected diseases in humans.

Lets get real folks! This has NOTHING to do with food safety.

We, the undersigned, are writing to express our deep concern about the following bills:

The "Food Safety Modernization Act" would effectively outlaw organic farming. It would even outlaw "heirloom" seeds. This bill (H.R. 875 and S. 425) is being fast-tracked through Congress. Outrageously, it is being heavily promoted by Chemical Giant Monsanto.

The impact of this bill would be to outlaw organic farming, outlaw heirloom seeds, and force Americans to use foods chemically treated. Please Senators and Representatives, make sure we have a voice in this process.

This bill must not pass without major hearings to insure that the American people know what is happening. There is no reason to "fast-track" this bill and every reason to insure it does not pass.

This is outrageous! How much control and regulation do we have to have over us when it comes to what we choose to put in our bodies, and our children? Let the people decide what is best for them to eat, not the big time guys who could care less about our health but only about how much we fill up their pockets. Obviously, this bill is being pushed because they are threatened by more and more people buying organic and realizing the truth about our food. Are we the people really being represented, or is the big business? How ironic, the bill is called Food Safety Modernization. The only truth to this title is Modernization, and how money is cancelling out the previous words, Food Safety, but more important.. our freedom. If this bill is passed, I will move. That is the most rediculous thing I have ever heard. Organic foods are not the problem. The problem is the large amount of hormones and anti-biotics (they are call ANTI-BIOTICS for a reason) in the foods we eat today. There was a time when people ate foods that grew from the ground without deadly chemicals. There is a reason there are so many sick people today. Their immune systems are overwhelmed and cannot prevent the invasion of toxins. The government has advanced to a sick degree when they distill fear in the public and poison food in the name of safety and prevention of disease. This is manipulation and the highest degree of sin imaginable. We can thank Rosa DeLauro for the end of healthy food in America.

I believe that organic and/or hydroponic farms are the safest way to trace where food came from (especially) if they are local. In controlled environments, disease and other contaminant issues that we have been seeing in produce is very easily avoided. To pass a bill like this would be criminal...and would cripple our economy even further. Please help fight this evil bill and if you must require regulations, make sure in consists of ensuring higher safety regulations that DO NOT INCLUDE RADIATION OR CHEMICALS. While it looks like it is for our HEALTH, it is actually an insidious attempt to eliminate all organic farming, family gardens, and truly healthy lifestyles. Big businesses like Monsanto seem to be behind this bill, since the average citizen's awareness is being heightened and we are searching for more pesticide-free produce, hormone-free meat and poultry, cage-free eggs and pure plant seeds, those that have not been genetically engineered. There is so much evidence that allergies and cancer are increasing partially BECAUSE of all the pesticides, hormones, and genetically engineered produce seeds. What are you people thinking??????
