Our game is in danger and it is not getting any protection. The solutions are simple. The football authorities need to begin by implementing the following - easy - reforms:
1) To establish properly staffed and funded security departments in each Football Association and in both FIFA and UEFA. 2) To ensure that there is an independent police investigation of the situation revealed in Declan Hill's book - of fixers coming to the international tournaments to corrupt the game. 3) To ensure that all players are paid directly by FIFA and UEFA in international tournaments, thereby reducing the chance of the players being exploited.
If you agree with these steps please sign the following petition. I will forward it to FIFA and UEFA in the next few months. We can protect our game, but it takes action from us all.

A lot has been written about FIFA and vote rigging, expensive junkets, and other financial misdeeds. But, the general public does not really care about that. They are internal matters of FIFA that can be handled by the individual members countries if they see it as a problem. FIFA puts on a spectacular show every four years and that is what the public wants. But, if the integrity of the matches is questioned or, even worse, actually undermined, people will no longer want to watch and spend their money on travel, lodging, tickets, and merchendise. All of the money going into football development in Africa is being wasted if teams like Ghana and Cameroon find themselves in a position in which the players are easy targets for fixers and the FAs do not pay them properly. A security department would greatly help.

The beautiful game is getting ugly. We need checks and balances,we need to clean house. Soccer deserves to be played in a "clean" atmosphere. Respect the sport clean the rot. !

I work with children and they deserve to be able to look up to players, to aspire to something , to feel a part of something that is greater than themselves, to be inspired...and not to feel duped when they grow up and find out the truth. In fact I think we all deserve that, players and fans alike. Let's hope....

I'm not a sports fan but if someone is sticking his neck out to protect a game he loves and making a stand in it; It's time that whoever who needs to sit up and listen, do something.

I Support Declan's petition. He has done a gret and very profesional job on this book.
I believe that there is a lot of corruption in football, and i've seen it in my own country.
Let´s save our game!!
