Save Our Game

Target:
Soccer Fans
Sponsored by:
Football Fans,

Our game is in danger and it is not getting any protection.  The solutions are simple.  The football authorities need to begin by implementing the following - easy - reforms:

1)      To establish properly staffed and funded security departments in each Football Association and in both FIFA and UEFA.
2)      To ensure that there is an independent police investigation of the situation revealed in Declan Hill's book - of fixers coming to the international tournaments to corrupt the game.
3)      To ensure that all players are paid directly by FIFA and UEFA in international tournaments, thereby reducing the chance of the players being exploited.

If you agree with these steps please sign the following petition.   I will forward it to FIFA and UEFA in the next few months.   We can protect our game, but it takes action from us all.

The game is the first show that been on TV that speaks to relationships in the black community. It shows the positive side to love across the colour lines. It speaks to friendship, love and perservence. Which is a positive message that our youth need to see.

I am tired of all my favorite shows being cancelled. It seems that the television stations no longer care about what the views want. I have been a fan of The Game since the first season and I would like for the show to continue.

This petition addresses real concerns respecting the most widely-enjoyed game in the world. This is, indeed, a beautiful game. Consider this: after food and shelter, what is the most welcome gift that a UNICEF worker brings to the disaster-traumatized child? A soccer ball. To say that that is worth something is an understatement. The opportunity for healing and growth afforded by cooperative play is nothing short of miraculous. This must not be destroyed. Furthermore, what is at stake here is something that transcends one specific sport - what is ill in one, may be ill in others, or all. Starting here, those who care can take take concrete, measurable steps to ensure fairness and clean competitive spirit in sport. It's not impossible. The only thing that is impossible is the survival of honest competition under the oppressive weight of corruption.

This is disgraceful to even think that football the beautiful game has a corrupt side and FIFA should take really great stands on this and even sentence people to life in imprisonment

Chelsea vs Barcelona in the champions league was a disgrace. I can understand that a referee can miss a call, but to make four bad ones like he did it was horrific. Even the red card that was given to Barcelona, the player was not even touched. I think what made me sick was the obvious handball in the penalty area, referee was right there, to make things worse the Barcelona players even stop because they thought it was a pk. How does Uefa come up with a refering crew from Norway to work suck a big game. Platini is a disgrace to Football, I think they need to start investigating him and UEFA.

Very well done to the author for tackling such a controversial, uncomfortable but absolutely necessary issue affecting football. This is one petition every football fan must sign and support, not only for ourselves but also for future generations who have the right to enjoy honest, open and competitive games in the sport that they love!

This is common sense that all sports need to deal with. If people believe that a sport is not being played fairly (with both teams trying their best to win), they won't support it. Failing to act now could have enormous consequences in the future.

The game between Chelsea and Barcelona has been sold. An international investigation by INTERPOL must begin. People who must be called in for inquiry: The referee: Tom Henning Ovrebo The handplayers: Gerard Pique, Samuel Eto'o The Shirt Clinger: Eric Abidal The Goalkeeper: Petr Czech Mr Hill - Please publish something about this game in your blog! We must save the Game!

FIFA and UEFA should focus less on the marketing aspect of our beautiful game and invest MUCH more time and resources on maintaining the integrity and sanctity of football.

It is absolute bollocks that politics is everything football, when it is not about getting a genuine result.
