Save prairie dogs & wildlife in Spring Gulch open space

We oppose current Prairie Dog Conservation Plan Revisions that declare Spring Gulch from Hyacinth to Stone Mountain as unsuitable for prairie dogs.  This very extreme decision will result in removal of all prairie dogs in this open space which will have a negative affect on the entire ecosystem and also negatively impact wildlife watchers and Spring Gulch trail users.

We encourage the Metro Districts to find compromise solutions and to explore and implement innovative management techniques like planting barriers, constructing retaining walls and employing passive relocation to help manage these populations.

We the undersigned request that the revisions to the current Prairie Dog Conservation Plan that declare Spring Gulch from Hyacinth to Stone Mountain as unsuitable for prairie dogs be removed.

We want to have prairie dogs in our Spring Gulch open space. We encourage the Metro District to compromise and explore innovative management techniques like planting barriers, erecting retaining walls and employing passive relocation to help manage these vital wildlife populations.
