This is pretty simple, instead of kids skating on places they most likely shouldnt be and probably without proper pads for protection they can skate in a structured environment where proper pads and supervision can take place, I mean come on this about children and their safety!

I 304 graphics in full support on getting the skake park petition grated. This town need more skate. It will give a opportunity for those youngs ones to learned and understand and respect the history of skateboarding and it's pioneers. It will take kids and young adults to a new level by understanding the concept of the sport."skateboarding is not about who got the best gear or board, it's about expressing yourself in a differentways and the feeling you get is priceless". Remember this no matter what the sport is, there's always someone better than you. When I started skating is because kids need to do something after school. We skateboard as a form of transportation."qoute, don't let others intemedate you, free your mine and do what you feel what's right for yourself and respect those elderone's".See you at the park! peace love chicken grease.( 304 graphics).

This is a great idea for the area, keeps the kids off drugs and off the street. Need more places and caring people like this to make a difference.

Skating is becoming a great way for a family to bond and get some exercise at the same time.A family that skates together, stays together.

I live in Ohio but vacation to obx every year. I am 34 yrs old and skate myself. I love knowing that people are fighting for 158. Skateboarding has growingly become more popular than when I was in school. I hope that the park will stay open.I understand that it is hard to provide safe places for children without liability issues but kids (and some adults)need a place to go to. Steve Deem

Keep the park alive, let some kids have some clean fun. Isn't it better to know were your children rather than having them hang out with all those great influences at Avalon Pier. Let the kids ride in a safe environment.

I think it is greatly needed for the kids to have a place like this to skate as long as it is safe and supervised. This is great! I hope they keep it.

What reason is there not to have a park? Seems petty and trivial this proccess is even needed.
