SAVE THE CUYABENO AND YASUNI!!! SALVEN AL CUYABENO Y AL YASUNI!!!

The Faunistic Reserve of Cuyabeno is Human Patrimony Biosphere, Cuyabeno forest is one of the places on earth with more bio-diversity with several endangered species and the live place of the indigenous communities of Siona, Secoya, Cofan, Tetetes. As well the National forest of Yasuni is probably the latest untouch area in Ecuador.
Despite it importance all the time has been suffered the oil industry pressure because it contains one of the most biggest reserves of oil in Ecuador. Both areas are in danger now, because the oil field that is going to began the explotaition in june cover both environmental areas!!!!!
It appears with great expectation the project ITT (Ishpingo Tiputini Taraipoa) that was presented to the United Nations, where we request to be payed to keep the oil underground and then reduce the pressure on the area.
Sadly on saturday 12 january the president of Ecuador has been made public that Ecuador will not accept the conditions of this agreement, and the oil production will began on JUNE 2010!!!
This is an emergency call, we must show the government of Ecuador how important is Cuyabeno and save the forest!!!, and remember them that this forest must be respected, not be touched and there is no money that will pay to recover it!!!!
La Reserva Faunistica del Cuyabeno es Biosfera de la humanidad y uno de los lugares con mayor biodiversidad en el mundo. Es hogar de varias especies endemicas y de las poblaciones indigenas Siona, Secoya, Cofan, Tetetes. La reserva Natural del YAsuni es probablemente la ultima area sin tocar en el Ecuador.
A pesar de su importancia ambiental todo el tiempo ha sufrido grandes presiones por parte de la industria petrolera. El campo petrolero ITT cubre ambas areas!!! no solo yasuni.
Se presento a las Naciones Unidas el Proyecto ITT (Ishpingo Tiputini Taraipoa) con la esperanza de que se pueda recibir dinero a cambio de dejar el petroleo bajo el suelo.
Lamentablemente las negociaciones fallaron y el presidente a anunciado que explotara los campos en JUNIO 2010!!
Esto es una llamada de emergencia!!! sabemos que necesitamos el dinero pero no por eso pondramos un pozo petrolero en medio de la plaza de independencia o destruiriamos la Iglesia de San Francisco. Asi como respetamos nuestro arte, nuestra religion y nuestros simbolos, hay sitios que deben ser completamente respetados, por que son maravillosos, magicos y nada en el mundo los puede volver a hacer. Uno de esos es Cuyabeno.

Los aqui firmantes, ciudadanos del ecuador y del mundo, solicitamos a usted revise la decisi%uFFFDn de explotar dentro de la reserva Biosfera para la Humanidad localizada en Cuyabeno y de el Bosque Yasuni
Entendemos la necesidad economica de obtener dinero pero esa no puede ser raz%uFFFDn para destruir un sitio el cual deberia ser respetado.
A nadie en el Ecuador se le ocurrir%uFFFDa poner un campo petrolero en medio de la plaza de la Independencia, o destruir la Catedral de San Francisco para realizar alg%uFFFDn tipo de explotaci%uFFFDn.
Asi como respetamos nuestra historia, nuestro arte, nuestra religion, asi mismo hay sitios que deben ser completamente respetados. Uno de esos es el Cuyabeno, catedral de la naturaleza, obra de arte suprema de la vida.
