I visit Japan very often, and i honestly see no acheivment with your petition. This petition can ONLY harm the case and harm the 3 boys jailed, so if you care som much about them PLEASE take off theis petition immediatly. The Japanese will NOT get budged a bit with these kind of petitions. they only cause damage. we dont wantto pressurise them.

These boys are innocent and should be released. They are unsuspecting young boys who would never imagine that someone would do this shocking crime to them. They have grown up in sheltered environmnents and clearly were clueless as to what was really being asked of them when travelling. The Man responsible for sending them should be hunted down and given sentence. Why must they suffer for this wicked mans deeds? Why punish 3 unsuspecting individuals for one mans wickedness and crime?

The Japanese system of deterrence is understandable, when the accused are guilty of the crime. But the Japanese courts must take into consideration the boy's backgrounds and should try to understand how antithetical these actions are to their lifestyle, and that they would not have agreed to participate in any illegal activities. I would ask you to understand the role you are mandated to. It’s to punish the guilty so other should take a lesson by not committing such crime. There’s absolutely nothing that this 3 unfortunate boys could have done differently and there is nothing that any other person could have done or would do differently if you will in the end deice to sentence them. These boys where honest and kind people, trying to help there fellow men, who carelessly put them in this mess. Please think about it from an over all and comprehensive perspective of what benefit any punishment would bring to society at large.

Please have mercy and understand that this is an extra exceptional situation and those boys are totally innocent, if you get to know only a little the Jewish community and and there philosophy and upbringing, and by the way can promise you that as this story was spread to the Jews all over the world and new guidelines has been set from all the rabbis and leaders of the Jews that such stories wont repeat ever ever, so please do the kind of your life and free those 3 kids and get the blessing of GOD!

Dear Ambassador. Tough drug laws in Japan are designed to combat drug offenders. Not naive young boys who have lead a sheltered life for their entire existence. Laws are all consuming, and are addressing the aggregate. When innocent people get caught up, it is extremely difficult to get disentangled. Inflexible application of the law can sometimes result in innocent people being wrongly convicted, or to being set as an example to deter others. You would surely agree that both fall well below your standards of morality and Justice. Power mandates responsibility. It is within your power to either destroy three innocent lives, or help them resurrect their lives. Please do the right thing.
