Now they have lost their court battle against the state and are being forced to move. The state is after the mineral rights that the towns people own. They took eminent domain over the town and if they can get them to move they will own billions of dollars woth of coal underground. Please don't let this injustice happen to the people.

I first learned of the plight of Centralia via a segment on a History channel program. I don't think it's right that people were forced to move from their homes, and feel that the remaining people should be allowed to stay there. Evidence shows that the danger has passed, so why can't new homes be built there and the town occupied again?
