To Whom it May Concern: Wow! I'll try to stay within the bounds of respect, but I have to say that these individuals trying to prove their manhood might as well be killing their own children or at least the family pet. I wonder if children are allowed to witness their brothers, fathers, cousins, uncles perpetrating this violence on these innocent creatures. I wonder how they would explain all of this to a 5 year old child who had just witnessed them killing one of these dolphins. I wonder what they would say to a child who asked them, "What does it feel like to kill?" Some traditions are outmoded and should rightly be discontinued. I would suggest that a new tradition be started. You want to prove you're a man? How about surviving in the wild for 30 days with no tools and no shelter? If you really need some violent display, at least choose a victim that can defend itself, like a lion. And use your bare hands. Last comment.....do you know what women think is sexy and manly? While I'd like to respect your culture and heritage, we do not live in the Middle Ages anymore. It is time for change, to join the 21st century. There are better, more productive ways to prove one's manhood. Try bullfighting, alligator-wrestling, or lion-taming.
