Eugene T Maleska must be spinning in his grave. Why not junk the paper all together. It already looks more like condensed web site than a newspaper.

The second Sunday puzzles are always clever and are fun for two people to do together. Don't take them away. Even though I enjoy KenKen, I'd much rather see that disappear.

I e-mailed the Times last week and received no response. That e-mail contained my complaint about eliminating the 2nd Sunday puzzle - though I should note is has appeared (and I assume will continue to appear) the last two weeks, a page or two in front of the puzzle page. I have delivery of the West Coast edition now that I live in California. The e-mail also contained my questioning a several-years "accepted" answer to a clue appearing in regular puzzles over the years. There has been no response to that either. Call me if you're interested. Ted Nelson, 760-863-0607.

As a subscriber for decades to the Sunday Times, a paper that typically weighs several pounds, I can't believe there is no longer enough room to print the second Sunday puzzle. Within the Magazine itself, they could shorten an article or two, or cut down Safire's full page to something more reasonable.

The first week I saw the KenKen I thought maybe it would be rotated along with acrostic, cryptic, etc. There is KenKen every day now, we don't need it on Sunday too! Bring back the variety puzzles which we don't see every day!

The puzzle page is one of, if the not the only money making section of the New York Times. Why the newspaper would want to mess with a winning formula defies logic.

I've been a loyal subscriber for many years. The first week the second puzzle disappeared, I sent an e-mail to Magazine Editor Gerald Marzorati. There was no reply. There is wasted space in the Magazine. Plenty of room for the second puzzle if the far-too-wordy articles were sensibly edited.

The online version seems not to be available until Sunday. As a Times subscriber, I am accustomed to getting my Magazine—and both puzzles—on Saturday. In addition, I do not understand why we are getting less for our increased cover price, and why I have to use my own paper and ink to print out this puzzle.

Please, please, please, please! I love them all, every one of them.

I love words! Please, one KenKen is more than sufficient.

Bring back the Acrostic and I'll start buying the paper again.

The Second Sunday Puzzle are some of the most creative puzzles available to the mass solver. I especially enjoy Puns and Anagrams and the Acrostic. Ken-Ken and Sudoku? These aren't real thought provoking puzzles. What ever happened to tradition?

My favorites are the diagramless crosswords, cryptic crosswords, Split Decisions, variety crosswords, and the occasional word puzzle by Will Shortz. OK, so I have a lot of favorites. They really are the highlight of the Times Magazine sometimes!

I love the 2nd Sunday puzzles...especially Puns & Anagrams. Please return them to the Magazine.

I love doing the 2nd Sunday Puzzle. I love the variety. And, as a result of the 2nd Sunday Puzzle, I've learned how to do cryptics!

Second Sunday Puzzle is necessary. Eliminating does really save much space

The Sunday word puzzles are, for many, the primary draw of the New York Times Sunday magazine. I strongly encourage you to reconsider this choice, and explore every option available to allow for the second puzzle to return to print.
