Save Warrick County Dogs
Warrick County Animal Control, WCAC, located at 599 Roth Road, Boonville, Indiana 47601 serves a very progressive community of over 58,000 citizens.
To date Aaron Franz, (superintendent of WCAC) and the Warrick County Commissioners, in particular Don Williams, have established practices that stifle rescue, reclaims, adoptions, promotions and volunteerism at this shelter. The public is not allowed inside the shelter and efforts to see the dogs are met with resistance. Their mindset is stuck in the '60's so to speak and we are demanding that this shelter:
1. Welcome and allow all active volunteerism
2. Encourage and welcome all rescue groups and rescue efforts
3. Actively seek to reunite dogs with their owners
4. Allow shelter dog photography, FaceBook or any other social media promotions
5. Allow the creation of a Petfinder account for the purpose of rehoming Warrick shelter dogs
6. Encourage and facilitate adoption events and opportunities for the shelter dogs
7. Refrain from retaliatory actions against concerned citizens and volunteers
