**IMPORTANT UPDATE from Charlie's Owner**
"The OPP officer in charge of the case just came to my door, he said he spoke to the prosecution who informed them that they are NOT going to have Charlie put down...The conditions they are looking for is that I need to put her up for adoption...BUT I am always able to fight that...doesn't mean for sure that I will have to let Charlie go...if I can prove my case that my neighbour has abused Charlie and that he is the aggressor, then Charlie may be able to come home" Derek
LETS HELP GET CHARLIE HOME!!!
Charlie has been held prisoner at the Shelter of Hope since the beginning of October 2011.
Charlie is a wonderful dog who was abused by a neighbour. After an altercation with the neighbour, Charlie was seized and quarantined and Charlie's owner was informed that they'd be pursuing an order to have her destroyed. Charlie the dog cannot defend and speak for herself or recount the event in which she was innocently involved.
Please help save Charlie!

After an altercation with a neighbour, Charlie was seized and quarantined and Charlie's owner was informed that they'd be pursuing an order to have her destroyed.
**The prosecution is has now said they will NOT have her put down, but they want to have her put up for adoption, instead of returning her to her loving owner.****
Charlie is not an aggressive dog (she is great with children, adults and other dogs) and this would not have happened had she not been provoked. The first instinct of an animal is to protect itself from danger.
Charlie was repeatedly abused by this neighbour. The neighbour repeatedly kicked her in her privates, stabbed her in the eyes with the back end of a broom, and kidnapped her for over an hour right out of her backyard. He then held her in his garage until Charlie's owner called the police.
Charlie has been a prisoner at Shelter of Hope in Port Hope since the beginning of October 2011. Charlie the dog cannot defend and speak for herself or recount the event in which she was innocently involved.
Please help save Charlie!
