Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act - Vote Passed (219-212)
On Sunday the House passed this bill that would overhaul the nation's health insurance system and require most individuals to buy health insurance by 2014. The President is expected to sign the legislation into law on Tuesday.

The passing of the health care bill is a historic moment for us all. Now insurance companies will get hit with there own magic. No more raising premiums for them. The health care bill has many flaws and has its chances of failing, but it was much needed. Insurances Companies have been monopolizing Americans for decades raising costs day by day and Americans have had no say, but now with a government based health care this will bring competition for private insurance brands. The costs will go down.
There are many people against this reform. Many state attorney generals are out and filing cases against the federal government, but let that not fail the bill. Just because taxes are going to go up doesn't mean we shoot down a well needed reform. We fund so much useless reforms so why now. Why not fund a necessity? Many of the American people, media, and republican and independent politicians say many bribes took place or they had no choice. But they did have a choice. And thats why with a 219-212 the health care bill was passed. People who do not support this health care reform can be called greedy because this bill is set to effect taxes of people making $250,000 OR MORE. Anyone making that much money can afford to put down a little more money. Its not for thousands but its for millions of people who don't have insurance. By having this reform passed America has truly took a step forward. Americans who get sick now can go to the doctor and not only this by the sick going to the doctors it will prevent the sickness from spreading from one to another. The worry of illegal immigrants taking advantage of this package should be no fear. People who will be receiving insurance from the government will be monitored to full extent.
Please don't let Republican, Independents, and greedy Americans shoot down what is life for America and its economy. Now a president who has been criticized for being long on ambition and short on accomplishment has achieved something that eluded predecessors as far back as Theodore Roosevelt, who called for health-care reform a century ago. Please don't let Obama's work go to waste.
