Saving Lives Of Teenage Children On The School Route

This petition is to slow the speed limit on Saint Helens Gate from 40 mph to about half that speed or maybe less. Reasons for this occurring are that Saint Helens Gate is on the school route which is dangerous because if a child suddenly walks out in the road you will not have time to put your breaks on. There is an advert that proves driving at 40 mph is dangerous.

On Saint Helens Gate there are incidents that have happened but haven't been reported, I would also like to see this done for other roads as well for example the road past the New College, Huddersfield and Greenhead College, Huddersfield I believe there should be speed camera's or realistically just make the speed limit slower to prevent the risk of loss of life of young teenage children
