Dear President Obama,

How do you feel about Homosexual Rights? Homosexuals have been treated differently whether it%u2019s at school, work, or even at home.

Homosexuals, or gays, are bullied and harassed. It has gone so far that people have formed hate groups and organizations. Gay people don%u2019t have a place to go because they are mistreated at some churches and in public. %u201CGay%u201D is even used as an insult among young adults.

We are writing this petition to remind you that all people have the right to be treated equally. You can take the lead by eliminating the %u201CDon%u2019t Ask Don%u2019t Tell%u201D policy in our very own military.

We give thanks for your support!

This policy is Unconstitutional, unforgivable, irrational and based in ignorance-let's change it.

proof of sexual orientation has been outlawed in every area except military service and leadership at some ultra-conservative religious organizations. What does this say about our society?

people don't need any approval to serve their country. this is a new era of awakening to our potential as a society and "don't ask don't tell" is an excuse for holding onto a way of thinking that limits the rights of certain people. whether or not gay people make some straight people uncomfortable is not a reason to allow discrimination. we are moving along now people, catch up! the newer generations are very much used to having gay people amongst them! may this united states government finally end discrimination against gay people and support their liberation as a people amongst people with equal rights for all.
