As a homeowner, I am tired of being dragged around by banks only to find out that I do not qualify for a loan modification based on an unreasonable excuse. We need to let the government know that the loan modification program is not working or helping homeowners. Rather, it is enriching the pockets of banks with our money. That's shameful!

My bank (Chase) denied my loan modification. My home has lost nearly 1/3 of its value and my employer has reduced my income. I was told my modification was denied for reasons they won't disclose. I'm ready to hand them the keys happily and walk away. I don't think they realize that this will cause a downward spiral, and only make the situation worst.

My husband lost his job due to quadruple bypass surgery, filed for disability and I'm disabled also. I notified our mortgage company immediately. After several months of phone calling and going around in circles with them I finally recieved a notice that they couldn't modify our loan. Now they're telling me to call agencies and keep sending in hardship letters and other statements. It's a game they're playing and I don't think there's a solution. We are at wits end and don't know of any other resources to turn to for help.

Ive been making citimortgage's modified payments for 6 months on time, and now im being denied becuase the INVESTORS wouldnt profit from the modification. All that government money and they cant suck up the 3 payments im behind. I work full time again and can afford my payments (the full amount) but theres no way for me to make up those missed ones.

Chase denied my home modification after 6 months of reviewing my paperwork. Stating VA loans were not eligible for the governments loan modification process.

I loved how the government said there was going to be all of this help with loan modifications out there for everyone. But when you call them, they all say they cannot help you. And the ones that do say they can help just take your money and do nothing to help. Where did all of them programs go that our President said he was setting up for us? I have not seen one of them.

I would suggest that those people and families who are heading for foreclosures should sign up with the Moratorium NOW! Coalition for contacts at the following website: http://www.moratorium-mi.org/

Now there are law firms that have become what are known as "debt collectors". These people foreclose homes, often illegally. They target the elderly and other vulnerable people. The vast majority who are falling into foreclosure don't think or can't afford to call an attorney and we all know it's next to impossible to get a loan modification. Mortgage companies (banks) lies constantly making you think they don’t want your home. Bull! They now have these debt collectors (law firms) are buying homes from the bank for as little as $600 and turning around and selling these homes for 80K to 120K. Investor's (attorneys/law firms) are bundling homes (1,000 homes) for investor's. It's a Wall Street deal (scam). I doubt that people know what they’re buying. It’s another rip off for the American people. If people knew the whole story they'd go crazy. On top of it, if one ends up being forced into foreclosures, good luck even finding an attorney who really knows foreclosure laws. I know two excellent attorneys who really know what they’re doing. I get them to lecture to City Counsel’s and City Treasurer’s. You should see their faces once they get the story. Pure shock and anger, its like they’re ready to riot. Sadly so few people know the real deal, the whole story. Our media won’t report anything to us anymore. It’s all word of mouth or talk radio. Please pass the word. Get this petition out. There should have a million signatures on this petition.
