Because as a lifetime Canucks fan this team has never had a appropriate logo or nice looking uniforms for that matter! When one thinks of a 'Canuck" a whale doesn't come to ones mind. A lumberjack certainly does. The whale symbolizes the 'orca bay' regime and days of futility! Or as sports editor Tony Gallagher of the Vancouver Province once referred to them as 'dorca bay' when they majorly screwed up the possibility of Wayne Gretzky wanting to come end his career here centering a line with Mogilny and Bure. Instead they brought in and wasted 20 or so million dollars to sign a washed up Messier which was a total waste! And letting Cliff Ronning go for not even a draft pick dumb and dumber! The team is under a new owner in the Aquilini family and they should start fresh with a 'winner' logo in 'johnny canuck',not a ridiculous aggressive looking killer whale(killer whales are not aggressive) The current team colours are fine and represent the west coast. "Johnny Canuck needs to be the teams primary logo. The Canuck third jersey stick in the rink is too boring. That should just remain as a patch on the left shoulder, the v-headed johnny canuck patch on the right shoulder(since he faces that direction) and voila, your new uniform like the one pictured.I have two jerseys a home blue and white away one in the johnny canuck logo on the front and I have had nothing but total praise from strangers telling me how much they like the look and that you guys should somehow incorporate it either as a primary and/or a alternate third jersey. The team wore the johnny canuck logo at your public open practice last year. Incorporate it and SCRAP THE ORCA! I am getting as many people to sign this petition which I will forward to the Aquilinis and the teams marketing department. GO JOHNNY GO!
