SEAL's Dog Killed: Give Criminals Maximum Sentence!

Target:
Texas Courts and Prosecutors
Sponsored by:

Help SPCA International (http://www.spca.com/) demand that Texas courts prosecute the four animal abuse criminals to the fullest extent of the law.   Sign now!

Former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell's therapy dog was brutally killed by four young men last week.  According to Luttrell, the criminals were cruising his county in Texas shooting dogs for fun when he heard a shot in his front yard and found his dog, Dasy, murdered.  Luttrell chased the criminals through four counties and brought them to justice with the help of the local sheriff's department.  Luttrell witnessed these criminals laughing and joking about their killing rampage, even after they had been apprehended by authorities.

Luttrell's dog, Dasy, was no ordinary pet.  Luttrell is called the "Lone Survivor" because he was the only survivor from a 2005 battle that caused the largest loss of life in SEAL history.  Each letter in Dasy's name represents his fallen SEAL team members.  Luttrell was given Dasy during his recovery period after sustaining horrific wounds.  Luttrell said, "I consider that dog just like a daughter to me."

Please sign this petition and help SPCA International tell the Texas courts to prosecute these cruel criminals to the fullest extent of the law.  "You need to be held accountable for what you do," pleaded Luttrell on Glenn Beck's Fox News show.   See Luttrell's full interview here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJLO_JI9Pns

These criminals deserve the maximum sentence that the law allows. My heart goes out to Seal M. Luttrell. Too bad Texas doesn't let him hand out the punishment they deserve-the same thing they did to his dog.

It's one thing to abuse an animal, an even bigger on to kill one, and then to do it just for fun. Along with being a therapy dog to one of our countries greatest hero's, those men should be given the greatest sentence possible. I know how bad it would feel to lose a dog like that, personally I would probably end up killing them all, while not even caring about the trouble I would get in. I love my dog to death and would end up dying for her.

Cannot believe that these young men-no children-would commit such acts to helpless victims. Dogs want nothing more than attention and to be loved--by people! These punks will do nothing more in life but continue down a narrow path filled with hate and anger. Please give them what they deserve!

No pet should be killed like this dog. When some people go through life changing events they become dependent on their pets to comfort them. Now days there are all kinds of service/working dogs. Autistic children use them as it helps with their melt downs and keeps the child from running into traffic, there are therapy dogs, dogs that pull wheelchairs, dogs for the hearing, dogs for the blind, dogs for the diabetic to name a few. Anyone that takes a life of someones pet or a service dog should get the maximum sentence provided by the law. A lot of people consider their pets whether it be a dog or cat a part of their family. It is WRONG to take the life of an animal just like it is wrong to take the life of a human. Give them the MAXIMUM sentence.

By giving them a FULL and adequate punishment we can hopefully send the message that this kind of cruel and evil activity will NOT be tolerated.

We need to address that human beings that are capable of such inhumane acts must be punished in a manner that is appropriate to the offence they have commited. It is our responsibility to act as the voice of those who can not and will not ever be able to speak for themselves.

As a Texas resident I am horrified by the cruelty these criminals have inflicted on helpless animals and the suffering it creates for these pet owners. By giving them a full and proper punishment under the law, a message will be sent that this kind of barbaric, mindless activity will NOT BE TOLERATED. I don't want Texas to have a reputation across this nation for animal cruelty and leniency in it's animal protection laws. Please do the right thing and give them the maximum sentence.

We as people need to stand up for our animal companions that can not speak on their own. The four murdering young men should pay dearly for their crime as well as restitution to the county and the animals people companions for all the deaths and heartaches they caused. I too know what it is like for my animal companion to be murdered by an individual with no compassion for an animals rights.

What these jerks did was sick, and even the maximum sentence they can get is too lenient. They need to be locked up forever!

This is a horrible thing to happen. Poor innocent animals who have no way to defend themselves. These people need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
