Over 90,000 American horses were sent to slaughter to Mexico & Canada during the past year. The methods of killing are gruesome & beyond painful. Horse slaughter was outlawed in the U.S. in 2007 & we have had a bill before Congress since Jan.,2009 to end sending our horses to slaughter anywhere. It is called The Prevention of Equine Cruelty Act - HR 503/S727. Several members of the House of Rep. want this bill to finally come to a vote before Congress. Please urge your Representatives & Senators to force a vote on this bill. Go to US House of Representatives Home Page to find & contact your representatives. Then contact your Senators as well. Let's save our American horses. They deserve it after all that they have done for the history of our country.
