This weekend I attempted to take my son to see Journey 2 ( he has aspergers syndrome and was very excited to see it) we attempted to go with his headphones but unfortunately they didn't block out enough of the sound and we had to leave. When I asked the manager about the sensory friendly movies she informed me that location did not offer them, but she was trying to get her manager to start so I figure lets give her a hand.
Lots of ASD people enjoy movies, unfortunately due to sensory sensitivities it is often hard to enjoy a movie at the theater, some AMC locations do offer sensory friendly movies. I would like to see this location offer them as well.
We the undersigned noticed this location does not offer sensory friendly movies, our friends, and families touched by Autism Spectrum Disorders would like the ability to come to your theater and enjoy movies. we are asking you to add sensory friendly movies to your show times at least a few times a month and during weekend matinee times so that children are able to enjoy the show. We also ask the movies picked are family films.
