How long is America going to allow this legal animal cruelty ?

SHUT DOWN Kathy Bauch's puppy mill in Minnesota

Target:

As everyone in animal rescue, animal welfare and rights activists, animal lovers and humane educators alike know commercial breeding facilities A.K.A  Puppy Mills are horrific places of abuse to domestic animals, and this is a cruelty that has been continuely supported and overlooked for DECADES by local/state/federal officials/agencies. How does a licenced breeder rack up numerous USDA citations, be charged with animal cruelty/torture, practicing vet care without a licence, do time in jail, and still be allowed to continue her cruelty even on her work release, and remain open for business to supply puppies to pet store??? The reason why is the USDA'S failure AND THE FAILURE OF OTTER TAIL/FERGUS FALLS POLICE AND OFFICIALS to enforce even the "Minimum" standards and rules of the Animal Welfare Act (AWA)  excusing abuse/neglect in puppy mills just because the breeders are USDA licensed. PLEASE contact the governor of Minnesota TIM PAWLENTY at Tim.Pawlenty@state.mn.us and all County Attorneys/County Commissioners and demand something be done about the imminent danger these dogs are facing, and appoint an interim caretaker to seal/preserve the evidence and care for their needs until trial, and convince him that full prosecution is needed/expected in this case. Also contact the USDA and demand change with the NON-enforcement of the animal welfare act by current inspectors at Kathy Bach's puppy mill and all puppy mills across the United States and free these dogs from continualy cruelty and death. WE THE PEOPLE OF AMERICA AND OVER 17 COUNTIRIES/CONTINENTS FEEL THE CURRENT CONDITIONS IN THIS COURT WILL NOT BE CONDUCTIVE TO A FAIR TRIAL (FOR THE VICTIMS-THE DOGS) THEREFORE THIS TRIAL NEEDS TO BE MOVED, AND AN IMMEDIATE "CARETAKER(S)" BE APPOINTED TO CARE FOR THE DOGS DAILY NEEDS AND PRESERVE CRITICAL EVIDENCE FOR CONVICTION      THE WORLD IS WATCHING PLEASE DO THE RIGHT THING FOR THE DOGS AND NOT PLACE MINNESOTA ON THE MAP AS THE PUPPY MILL DOG "KILL STATE"  AND PROSECUTE TOTHE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, AND FREE THESE DOGS TO ANIMAL WELFARE AGENCIES

Please shut down Kathy Bach for these criminal acts, dogs are also gods creatures. The poor conditions, the unecessary pain, and agony due to neglect and greed are not something the USDA should allow. In the USA each year we euthanize over 5 million dogs abandon in shelters. Where do you think these dogs come from? PUPPYMILLS because they are taken from their mother too young, they have issues due to poor living conditions and lack of heath care before they are taken from their mothers too young to learn necessary training for life. These puppymills only add to the misery of innocent people buying a companion from a pet store unknowing that they come from such a place. If everyone would purchase or adopt dogs from organizations such as rescue groups and human societies that are responsible to the living animal we would not have these conditions in the USA. Where is our compassion as a society? Why do we allow people like Kathy Bach to become financially secure on the misery of the animals she torures and the innocent people wanting a good companion to make their life more enjoyable? Who would work for someone like this knowing what she is doing? Shame on her, her employees, and any business associate with her.

The video of this situation is despicable. If only a fraction of the material were true, the perpetrators should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Until law enforcement agencies take proactive measures to penalize these people, abuse and disrespect for the lives and well being of animals will continue to be rampant. Any person who mistreats defenseless animals is less than human.

I am planning to move to Minnesota in 2 months and I will be getting very involved in this issue. There is a huge movement in Minnesota to stop puppy mills and I will be helping that effort in every way that I can. It is unconscionable that this woman, and all the others like her are allowed to go on causing so much suffering without the state taking action. In my opinion, the state of Minnesota is just as bad as Kathy Bauch(however she spells it) if something is not done to put her out of business immediately.

This is despicable of a any human being to inflict what Bach does to innocent animals. Shut her down, fine her, lock her away and forbid her from ever having an animal in her possession or care again.

Puppies are living, loving creatures. No dog should be held in a POW type confine and bred to exhustion and eventual death for a profit margin. 800 dogs is an unmanagable number . 8oo children in a daycare enviornment would be unthinkable.*800 adults in confinment is called a prison. 800 inmates revert to antisocial, psycopathic creatures, would dogs do less? Please stop this cruelty and inhumanity, release the dogs to responsible rescues and put this "Hitler"ette out of business.Better yet, confine her to the same life she gave these poor defenseless creatures.

Based on what I've seen in this video, this woman has an extreme and callous disregard for the welfare of her animals, contrary to what she would like viewers to believe. She also seems to know she is guilty of wrongdoing, as evidenced by her actions when she knew an investigator was visiting. This atrocious business must be shut down for good, and she must be barred from ever owning animals for the rest of her life.

I watched this video this morning. All puppy mill operations should be shut down indefinetely. I have a rescue boxer and you wouldn't believe the things she went through. All puppy millers should be given the treatment that they think is "acceptable" by animal standards and I am willing to bet my life savings these horrible people will be crying for mercy after round 1.

It really disgusts me that those who are supposed to enforce the Animal Welfare Act sit back and do nothing! State and local officials are to blame for allowing puppy mills to operate, and the stores that by these puppies outta be shut down for contributing to animal cruelty! I never go into any pet store that sells puppies. HSUS gets millions of dollars from people who think that the money goes to help animals. What a joke. If you donate to HSUS, you are throwing your money in the trash. If they are supposed to help animals, then where are they when it comes to puppy mills! They should be at every one clammering for them to be shut down. They disgust me as much as the owners of puppy mills do!

I have also sent this letter by mail, to the USDA, USDA-Minn, Govenor Pawlenty, and Senator Klobuchar, and have received no responses. Should I have expected anything less!! Govenor Pawlenty: I sent you an email on November 13, 2008 regarding the severe abuse and neglect of the puppies and dogs of Ms. Kathy Bauck’s ‘Pick of the Litter’ dog farm in New York Mills, Mn. News of this horrendous report has made the rounds of the media through the internet and there is an on-line petition demanding further action be taken against Ms. Bauck and her employees responsible for the abuse. I have yet to hear back from your office about any action expected to be taken or to further investigate the abuse there of the puppies and dogs. Therefore I am sending my letter to you again. I am writing in regards to the puppy mill and dog farm of Kathy Bauck of ‘Pick of the Litter’ in New York Mills, Minn. News of the inhumane and abusive treatment of her puppies and dogs have reached the Boston area media and newspapers due to sick and deformed puppies sent to pet shops in Massachusetts. During an undercover investigation by the Citizens for Animal Protection there was numerous footage portrayed of cruel, torturous and blatant maltreatment and neglect of dogs and puppies by Ms. Bauck and her employees at her dog farm. It was difficult to watch. I am aware of past charges of animal abuse and neglect by Ms. Bauck of the helpless animals on her farm and her practicing veterinary care without a license which has resulted in unnecessary torture and suffering of defenseless dogs and puppies. I am a long standing responsible pet owner of dogs and cats adopted through my local shelters and a state employee who advocates for the less fortunate. I am appalled and angry that Ms. Bauck’s dog breeding farm has been allowed to continue operation, despite blatant abuse and maltreatment of the animals in her ‘care’. Is there no oversight or accountability for those charged with allowing her to continue this heinous treatment of these animals? It is unconscionable that ongoing charges of abuse and neglect of these animals continue to jeopardize their quality of care and enable Ms Bauck to continue operations and substandard care. I am concerned that the agencies assigned to protect these animals are not doing enough to regularly monitor and investigate the ‘Pick of the litter’ breeding dog farm and others like it on their watch. This operation should be shut down and Ms. Bauck prosecuted for animal cruelty. I will be forwarding a copy of this letter to the US. Dept. of Agriculture. I would appreciate it if this concerning matter can be dealt with to protect the animals and demand stricter regulations for the puppy mills and dog farms in existence, due to the people like Ms. Bauck who exploit animals for profit at the expense of their lives. Thank you for your attention to this concerning matter. Sincerely, Karen Caldwell, Massachusetts

The condition of the injured animals ESPECIALLY makes me so ill. I can't believe that even one dog would be allowed to continue in such a condition, let alone a multitude. The torture of these animals is sickening. I think we should shut down this mill, and send everyone liable to jail for maximum sentences. I am absolutely APPALLED.
