The film Ashcliffe is in post-production right now and is said to be released in October 2009. It is based on the Book Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane about a U.S. Marshal going to a remote island that is home to mental hospital for the criminally insane to find a multiple murderess who vanished from her room and is said to be hiding out somewhere on the island. My friend had came to me with an idea stating that we should start a petition for people to sign allowing the cast from this movie to appear together on The Oprah Winfrey show whenever the film is ready for it's release. My friend seemed to be very determined to create such a petition but insists on me making it for her since she does not have a computer and get this petition out early so we can have plenty of time. Every Martin Scorsese's picture deserves this kind of promotion, since it's REAL CINEMA, something that it's rare this day, especially in these days were the bad part of hollywood is taking control of this beautiful media and using it to promote things (can't be caled movies) that are only made to gain money. Scorsese don't think that Cinema is a casino machine, he sees it as it's, the most perfect media to represent emotions and thoughts, so we should help in someway to promote this movie not because it's an Scorsese's picture, but for what it stands: Cinema (at it best).
