Ask Google Doodle to feature 'sleep' during National Sleep Awareness Week

On March 13, Americans will lose one hour of sleep by changing our clocks to Daylight Saving Time. Please use Google Doodle to remind people of the time change and to offer sleep tips.

Join the National Sleep Foundation in asking Google to work to remind people of the time change and to offer sleep tips through their Google Doodle (unique logo) program.

National Sleep Awareness Week is March 7-13 and the National Sleep Foundation will be releasing the annual Sleep in America poll. This year's poll will focus for the first time on communications technology use in the bedroom within the hour before going to sleep. It surveyed 13-64 year olds about their sleep habits, sleep satisfaction and duration, as well as what communications technologies they use before sleep and if/when they wake up in the night (i.e., computers, laptops, cell phones, televisions, and video games).

I hope Google Doodle will join the National Sleep Foundation in promoting National Sleep Awareness Week, their poll, and a reminder for the clock change on the 13th. Help the National Sleep Foundation provide expert sleep tips to prepare for the time change, provide advice on behavioral changes or ways to create a more sleep-conducive bedroom environment.

Sleep is a major component of health and well-being. It is as important as diet and exercise, but it doesn't always get the same attention. This would be a terrific way to celebrate sleep and get expert information to the millions of Americans who say they have problems sleeping or aren't getting enough of it.

Contact the National Sleep Foundation today and use Google Doodle to promote sleep health and safety!
