Marijuana is a drug that is used by millions of people across the world, whether they are young or old. Many people use this drug to cam their nerves, or because its prescribed to them as medicine, and maybe they just enjoy the feeling. There are infact many older people that have the drug prescribed to them for health issues, it actually heals people, and it makes everyone so happy and worry free, if there is something out there that makes people so happy, you would think that maybe they would want them to have it. Marijuana is harmless, i am a frequent pot smoker and marijuana calms me when i am angry or sad or stressed, and it helps me drink lots of water and eat enough food. Marijuana also known as pot or ganja or weed, or maryjane. Congress, Look at the research, it's time to let go of a law that restrains people from a plant that God himself put here. You can grow it in your backyard, so dealing won't be a problem. I ask you to please legalize something that hasn't killed anyone, if tobacco and alcohol is legal and has killed millions of people, Why the fuck can they not legalize something that has never killed anyone, nor has it caused any disease! It cures asthma, helps slow glaucoma, and slows down cancer, and lowers the crime rate. This country's government's power was given to the people and the people want this, and the people need this. Stop overcrowding jails with people that are just minding their own and smoking a joint in the privacy of their home. God put it here for a reason. George Washington and the majority of the founding fathers were cannabis farmers. Legalizing this may cure some of the insanity the world faces. It may open new doors to get people off of alcohol and other drugs. It is not the gateway drug because I've been an everyday smoker for 4 years straight, and I have never done any other drug ever. Also I have not lost any intelligence or memory, I'm tired of being discriminated against because I'm a marijuana smoker. I can't have a good job because I can't pass a urine screen because I like to smoke on my own time. It's unfair and unconstitutional. Stop the inequality, especially when it's not gender related or race related, but world related. Its a friend, not an enemy, please sign this petition to leagalize this miricle drug. I think Marijuana should be legalized for various reasons and a great number of people all strongly feel this way to, that Medical Marijuana should be legal for people with cancer,glaucoma, the THC also suppresses thoughts in the mind which could help focus better. Gradually over time Marijuana should be Legalized all over the states for the main reasons that Marijuana does not harm the body,There are no real cases in which brain cells are harmed. There are however facts that Chemicals mixed with Marijuana enhance the effects by far also causing the Cannabis plant to bud faster then usual.

We could more than double our funding with this one action. I can quickly list 3 ways we will increase our funding...1. Save police officers time/money because we stop pursuing said "criminals" 2. Save the courts time/money by no longer having to prosecute them and 3. The corrections facilities will save money and decrease occupancy issues by no longer having to house/supervise these "offenders"

i think that the legalization would help the economy by cutting the cost of criminal incarserations, and by being able to tax it and sell it, i think it would cut down on gang violence, and i think the decriminalization of marijuana would make it less popular among teenagers, i think making the legal age of marijuana should be 18. i have been smoking marijuana since i was 12 and it has always been easier to get marijuana than alcohol. i am 20 years old, and i have never once had withdrawals from not using marijuana after extended periods of use. i am 100% percent for the legalization of marijuana

I can grow my own and roll my own and ease my pain a lot cheaper with cannabis here in Texas... Why then should I have to pay outrageous prices for prescription drugs that I can't afford, and that will harm my body when there is a natural and cheaper solution available? I don't understand it. I've been smoking weed since I was 16 and now I'm 60, and I've never had a problem with it leading me to desire a stronger form of addictive drug, and as far as smoking weed and vegging out, well I for one have work hard all my life because I chose to do so instead of stoning out on the couch, and now that I'm disabled and can't work, and on a fixed income, I just can't afford the high price drugs that the pharmacies have to offer... so with that being said... "LET ME LEGALLY GROW MY WEED DAMMIT"

As much as people tell me its harmless or harmful, I wont believe you especially when it's, "supported by scientific fact". There is more harm than good coming from not legalizing this plant for all the reasons listed by angry marijuana activists whom havn't got enough pot in the planet to level themselves out about the issue. If people want to smoke a substance that people are telling me doesn't hurt people, than people should be able to smoke freely. I'd take democracy over a high any day which means let them smoke and let me think less of them for it, just don't send my bong tapping friends to jail over it.
