I support Smoke Free Boise and everywhere on the planet, especially second hand smoking. I know the dangers and implications of it and I refuse to let it kill me, my family, or my friends.

I work in many bars across the country marketing a product. I stay out of the bars in Boise when I'm not working due to the smoke. Can't stand the health risk.

I can really feel the effects of secondhand smoke after a night out, and always wake up coughing the next morning. I would love to stop that, and this is a way to do it!

Dear Sirs, I strongly support smoke-free environments for the health of my children, and also my own health. I grew up in this area, and I have since moved back to Boise to raise my two daughters, because this is an outstanding environment for children to grow up in. Every "smoke-free" area that is won for we, the healthy in Boise brings Boise further down the road to a beautiful community. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I think that all restaurants and bars should be smoke free. If I go somewhere I have to bring my inhaler if I know I will even be near a smoking bar. I won't go anywhere that allows smoking because it just ruins my health. It makes my skin horrific, makes me sick, makes me cough, and I can't breathe. The Valley's air quality is bad enough - don't get me started - but why should I not go to places like Leku Ona just because of smoke? So sad. Please change this.

I am a former smoker and I recognize the benefits of cleaner air in public places.

My Mom passed away from lung cancer 3 years ago. It's not fair for others who try hard to maintain health, to have to endure the bad habit affects of others.

There is significant research to show that passive smoke impacts the health of the smoker as well as those in the same environment who do not smoke. It only makes sense to provide healthy environments for everyone.

As a parent, I think it is important to set the right example for our children. Therefore, we need to take a stand and show that smoking is a behavior that we don't approve of and that we have the right to live and roam in a smoke-free environment in our communities.
Besides the health risks that accompany prolongend tobacco use and exposure, I feel that it is important to considere those in our community who already suffer with health issues and to help promote a healthy environment to help them thrive instead of further hindering their health. My son has asthma, we both find it agravating to go out expecting fresh air only to be smothered by someone smoking. It is also troublesome to see so many people smoking in areas designated as non-smoking and also kid-oriented venues- like Disneyland- where there are smoking sections (which are frequently ignored). It always causes me to think, "You couldn't give it a rest even here... not even for your child."

Employees who depend upon their jobs, are often non-smokers and are forced to be subjected to the smoke from others in the workplace. Even smokers know that it is a health hazard to the non-smokers, and the evidence on that is clear

I strongly support banning smoking in public places. It is time that Boise join all those cities and countries world wide that recognize that smoking is unhealthy and a nuisance to all those in close proximity to smokers.
