Peaceful lobby for minority/Christian rights in Iraq.

Target:
Iraqi government and oil companies and governments doing business in Iraq
Sponsored by:

This petition calls on all oil companies and nations doing business in Iraq to work peacefully and diplomatically for a resolution to the mistreatment of Iraqi Christians and other ethnic/minority groups who are discriminated against in Iraq.

Would like to see some discussion concerning the poor treatment and terrorization of Christians and other minorities groups in Iraq.

This discussion should include what role oil companies and foreign governments that do business in Iraq and consume Iraqi oil have in reversing this trend and restoring Iraqi Christians to their home cities and villages in Iraq.

Perhaps oil companies and/or nations buying oil from Iraq and/or doing business in Iraq etc. can can come together as a group to lobby the Iraqi government for change and peacefully bring about legislation that protects the rights of Iraqi Christians and other minority groups in Iraq.

Oil companies/nations doing business in Iraq should voice their opposition to the mistreatment of Iraqi Christians and other minority groups there and have dialogue with the Iraqi government to bring about change concerning this matter.....especially American oil companies.

The Iraqi government should be proactive concerning this issue not only for the stability, health and well being of the government of Iraq but also for the people of Iraq (which includes minority groups).....who are in need of fair represention by this new democratic government.

A stable government in Iraq that overlooks or allows the oppression of Christians and other minority groups is a failure of morality, democracy, freedom and human compassion.

The fair treatment and protection of Christians and other minority groups in Iraq could even be proposed as a stipulation or condition of doing further business there or determine the level of committment to developing and buying oil/gas resources there by outside nations/corporations.

In any case, any company or nation doing business in Iraq should voice opposition to oppression of minority groups there. This would be a blessing to any oil company or any government that speaks up for the rights of Iraqi Christians and other oppressed minority groups.

This would also help bring stability to Iraq since the philosophy, committment and command of and to all Christians is to love their neighbors.

True Christians bring civility and stability to all nations/governments that allow them to worship and live in peace and surely those that defend the rights of Christians are doing what's right and good.

Ignoring the rights of the oppressed in Iraq now could lead to instability later which increases future risks to any investments made in developing Iraq's oil resources or infrastructure.

The best plan of action, I believe, is doing what's right and moral.....now.

We the undersigned agree with the opinions expressed in this petition and wish for the Iraqi government and foreign nations and companies doing business there now and in the future to discuss, debate and lobby peacefully for legislation to protect the rights of Iraqi Christians and other minority groups in Iraq.

In most western countries we respect every diferent religion and do not discriminate people concerning their believes, even though Christianism is our mayority. Religion should be for individual spiritual growing and that means showing more love and respect for everyone. in most of religions. People who act the oposite is acting against their own religions and thus against their Godīs commandments. And that in the name of God...
