Spreading awareness of Coeliac Disease within the Dominos franchise

Hi,
This petition is made for a specific request to the fast food retailers situated within U.K.
Coeliac disease involves the person being allergic from various important ingredients such as wheat, barley and rye. When these products are consumed by a coeliac patient, it disrupts the immune system of the body. Some of the main symptoms of Coeliac disease are diarrhoea, excessive wind and recurrent stomach pain.
As stated on the Coeliac UK, "Undiagnosed and untreated coeliac disease may lead to developing osteoporosis and certain kinds of cancer."
Coeliac UK is a leading site in helping people who have been diagnosed with Coeliac disease to recover and maintain a healthy life.

Having everyday cooking ingredients being removed from your diet can be a real setback . Considering wheat in itself is used for almost everything from bread, pasta, crisps and sauces, this can lead to a restriction in a Coeliac's life.
There is however an alternative of making important products such as bread, Gluten - Free. Products available at Health stores such as Xanthum Gum and Guar gum can be used to to replace the gluten from wheat flour.
Little substitues such as this can help make a Coeliac patients life more enjoyable and stress free. However the problem occurs when the substitues of everyday foods are not widely available.

This brings me on to the point of Dominos, a highly respected franchise situated all around the world, not serving Gluten  Free Pizzas in the United Kingdom. As we all know a grown adult in their late 20's can often manage a Gluten  Free life, but for a child who has been diagnosed in their teenage years can produce a problem. So in order to help new people who have been diagnosed with Coeliac disease not to feel left out, Dominos should be providing Gluten Free pizzas in the U.K.

Dominos CEO, Don Meij has himself previously stated that, "We have 13 pizza varieties which when paired with the new gluten free base are suitable for coeliacs.%u201D This means the idea of Gluten Free pizzas has allready been implemented in other countries around the world, but why not the United Kingdom?
What has restricted Dominos in providing Gluten Free pizzas in the United Kingdom?
This wouldn't cause any negative effects on the organisation, but would enhance the publicity and reputation of Dominos. It would increase the awareness of your organisation as well as the awareness of Coeliac disease.

Take action towards this highly important task of combining your current reputation with the Coeliac patients to form a mutual understanding and providing good local produce to a choice of customers who would love to be a part of your society. At the end of the day if other countries can be supplied with Gluten Free pizzas, there should be no excuse why Mr. Don Meij's motive should not be carried out in the United Kingdom.

If you have any questions regarding this cause feel free to email me on, coeliacht@hotmail.co.uk.
