Stand United - Join the resistance!!!!

We are going to hit close to $4.00 a gallon by this summer and it might go higher!! Want gasoline prices to come down? Take some intelligent, united action.

Here's the idea:

Phase I: Beginning now DON'T purchase ANY gasoline from EXXON and MOBIL AND CITGO. This includes "no-name" gas stations that may be purchasing fuels from these companies. You are encouraged to still stop at the convenience stores that you normally purchase convenience items from. Remember the owners of these places do not control the price of gas, so don't destroy their livelihood.  If the oil companies are not selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit. But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers.

Phase II: If the prices have not dropped by April 15th: Continue the boycott against Phase I companies and immediately include your boycott against SHELL and SUNOCO stations.

Phase III: If the prices have not dropped by May 1st: Continue the boycott against Phase I and II companies and immediately include your boycott against AMOCO, BP and CHEVRON.

Phase IV: If the prices have not dropped by May 15th: Continue Phase I-III and cut back consumption. By this it means if you normally spend $60 to fill up your tank, Spend only $59.90. Ten cents can add up to a lot when multiplied by millions of consumers. Also check around your place of work to see if you can telecommute a couple of times a month or if you can carpool with someone.

It's really simple to do! Now, don't quit at this point.... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people.

This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy gas on a certain day" campaign that was going around last year! The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to "hurt" ourselves by refusing to buy gas. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them.

With the price of gasoline going up more each day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to see the price of gas come down is if we hit someone in the pocketbook by not purchasing their gas! And, we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves. How?

Since we all rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying gas. But we CAN have an impact on gas prices if we all act together to force a price war.

Please forward to as many people as possible. Getting the word out will let us act together and make a difference. If this makes sense to you, please sign and pass this message on...

We the undersigned stand united against the rising oil prices that you are imposing on us. Many people cannot afford to pay other bills, and cannot afford to spend monies elsewhere, which is ultimately destorying our places of work and entertainment and affecting people's liveliehood. We ask that you consider taking lower bonuses, stock options, and wages and consider lowering your operating costs to help those who purchase your product. Remeber the old phrase in business that the customer is always right and we are not going to take anymore until you have adjusted your prices appropriately.

We need to put money on how to find solutions for energy consumption. Depending on outside oil is not correct. That's the whole reason behing Iraq war, the greediness of this government is going to abolish the beauty and the freedom of it as well.

I think it's stupid that the government has to raise gas prices. For what reason are they doing it? Because they're still so far in debt from borrowing money from other countries that they think spiraling us into another depression is going to help? I think it's time they realize what they're doing to the community. Noone will be able to drive their cars, therefore we will be jobless, foodless, and eventually homeless. They DON'T care about us, otherwise this wouldn't be happening. They're so rich that they know money is our weakness, because not everyone in this country is able to afford gas on a daily basis. My mother had to spend 40 dollars on a tank of gas, and she owns a compact car. She said that eventually she's going to have to spend 100 on a full tank. It's messed up! We really need to make the government realize what they're doing to us. It's not the 1920's anymore, it's 2008...We don't need some power hungry idiot controlling how we get around.

We aren't "heading" towards a ressession we are already in one! No one can afford to do anything other than worry how they can pay the bills and eat in the same month. In my house it's gas for work or enough food to feed my kids! I choose my kids! I eat leftovers if there are any and that doesn't happen very often.

It doesn't matter who will be our next President in this country, nothing will be done to help the our people. This country is falling into a recession and it's falling fast. That is unless you are an illegal immigrant, then you get everything for fee like housing, medical, food, education etc. Sad to see what this country is all about.

Get rid of that stupid overpaid CEO! Ceo,s shoudn't be so overpaid and that's not fair to regular workers! Exxon only care about their stupid profits and not about us. We need to hold them accountable for all this they destroy in our country! I am not buying gas anymore at Exxon! Lower the prices now and remove that overpaid CEO from power!

I will never buy gas from Exxon until they get their act together and bring down these high prices of gas. That CEO of Exxon needs to be removed and not be so overpaid!

I am furious, as with so many Americans, about out of control gas prices going up each week, and putting this sorry country of ours into economic anarchy - especially for the hard work and struggling people trying to pay the bills and provide for their families. All the while the SELFISH fatcat CEOs of these oil companies are making 9-figures a year, and have huge retirement packages also of 9-figures! My blood is also boiling over the fact that greedy and very selfish oil traders, private equity firms (run by billionaires not paying enough in taxes as it is) and greedy speculative investors are forcing up the price of oil per barrel each day this month - all to pad their greedy wallets, with NO regards for how real people are trying to get by. These pricks are also making food and other necessities more and more expensive. This is GREED gotten out of hand!!!! If leaders like Lenin, Stalin, and mao Zedong were running America, all of these fatcats out profiting off our backs would be targets for massive purges, and forced labour camps in Siberia, where they'd be worked and starved to death, and the oil companies collectivised into a national entity. Long live Lenin, and Mao!!! Please do something about this rampany greed that is ruining this country. I have so lost faith in America and our government!

The oil companies have made more than ever before in the last year or two. If there was such a thing as a shortage, they wouldn't be making the billons they are because they would be paying the high prices too. We are being gouged and we are letting it happen. My daughter is a college student in Elementary Education living on student loans and various jobs. She isn't able to feed her daughter without being helped becaused she is using a tank of gas a week to go to school. We need to stand up and protest.

Thank you for helping out! I have a brother-in-law who was part owner in a oil drilling company for over 20 years. He was in the business all through the so called shortage days and still says we have oil on hand to last us over a 100 years without drilling for oil. We as Americans need to know the truth and quit believing the lies of our leaders and oil companies.

How exactly do the oil companies expect people to live? Minium wage in my area is only 5.65 hr. The American working class have to buy gas to travel to and from work, and most barely make enough to do this. The gas prices are also effecting our grocery prices. This is a outrage to all Americans. We hear the government complaining about people on welfare or the unemployment rate being so high. Honestly, stop and take a look at what is going on. The oil companies are at a all time profit highs, and nothing is being done. So as a taxpayer what exactly is my government going to do for me?

This issue with the gas prices is getting out of hand. I just read in the paper that exxon owns 29 billion barrels of oil and has an iventory value of $2.9 trillion. Chevron's inventory is worth 2.2 trillion , Shell;s inventory is worth $2.6 trillion and that is not all. The cost per barrel is under $6.00 per barrel for these companies and they are charging us over $3.00 per gallon !!!!!!! Something is really wrong here including President Bush and Congress-although I am sure quite a few have iunvestments in oil. These people in Congress seem to think that the people of the US has the mentality of a herd of Cattle. We need to get this signed by as many p[eople as possible to stop this game.

We need someone in our government to start standing up for its citizens and bring down the gas prices. How can we get to work if we cant afford gas? The high gas prices is bringing up all the other prices. The high prices is taking food from our childrens mouths.HELP US!
