We would like to raise awareness about the growing homeless problem in America.

We the undersigned, would like to petition for an Awareness day, week, or month for the homeless in America. This is a growing problem, and we need to act fast, and become more bold on this subject. People need to be made aware of these lost souls living in our streets. What if it was a family member, would the relatives of said homeless person turn a blind eye then?
I firmly believe that if awareness is raised on this problem, and people are given the right information, and tools, more people would be willing to help, and not be so scared. If everyone pitched in in their community, maybe some lives could be saved. Everyone deserves food, warmth, and clothing, don't you think?

the scariest thing for a parent is to have no place to call home when saying goodnight to their children. if they are smart they will say, "home is where the heart is". Please let's get some hands on actions going so parents can tuck their children into beds at night and people have a space to call home where their heart and soul is safe.

I think this is a wonderful idea!! I support it all the way!! I hope 1 day there will be an Awareness Month for the Homeless. I feel so sorry/bad for homeless people.
