STARVED TO DEATH - HOPE A PUP IN CORPUS CHRISTI

PLEASE READ ENTIRE MESSAGE!!

Remember Shepp - the chained and starved german shepard here in Corpus?  Well it has happened again.  This time a puppy.  This is Hope.
(** add 10/31  In fairness to all - it is now being reported on the news that Hope was actually 3 yrs old - but this is coming from AC which you can believe if you want to - I don't - the person that was on the scene told me Hope looked like a puppy. Regardless of the age - AC and the police were contacted and this animal died because they did NOTHING. Also, since AC would do nothing - PETA has been contacted about the other two dogs that are in such poor shape on the property - one of them needing serious medical attention).  Hope didn't make it to animal control for them to try and save her - although they were called 4 days ago about this little pup  - they did nothing!  Well they did come and pick up the body today after it died LAST NIGHT of starvation and dehydration.   They were called 4 days ago, along with the CC Police Dept,  but noone "saw" a dog in the backyard - even after being told the pup was in the backyard!!  The house had a for rent sign on it for God sakes - and they couldn't check the backyard???

This little pup was tied up so tight that she could not even lay down - much less reach any food or water if it was there.  When she did get to the point of starvation and weakness, she choked because her little legs were not strong enough to hold her up.  Imagine dying a slow death like that!

I am so ASHAMED to say I live here but this needs to get out and I am not going to stop letting people know what is going on here.  I am asking that each and everyone of you please sign this Petition for Hope - another victim of the Corpus Christi Animal Control and Shelter and the lack of decent laws in Corpus to protect the animals here!!

We did get some justice for Shepp as those responsible were "arrested" - out on $500 bond - so $50 each and they are free!!  Some consolation for Shepp!!!  The only way we will get anything done is to let the powers that be here know that we will NOT tolerate the animal abuse that goes on in Corpus - or anywhere for that matter - and they need to get serious about checking calls that are made regarding animal abuse and prosecuting the people abusing these animals!!!

I am also asking that you sign this Petition to let the Mayor and council members know that Kelli Copeland, the Shelter ED, needs to be replaced.  She does nothing here - as most of you in Montgomery County know and have emailed me about - you are glad she is gone from there - and she needs to be GONE from here!!  She has done everything in her power to make it hard on rescues here - new rule after new rule - Ms. Control - no pictures can be taken of animals in the back anymore - every vet in town can't stand her and they don't want to work with her and as you see from this picture - she is absolutely worthless.  Check out the CC PetHarbor for the animal pictures there - they are not there!!  The animals in the shelter do not stand a chance with her as Director.  Please let CC know you won't tolerate this behavior - please do this for Shepp and Hope and the others out there that need you!!!  For the Animals Now!

PLEASE DO NOT JUDGE TEXAS BY THE CITY OF CORPUS - THERE ARE RESCUES IN HOUSTON, AUSTIN, SAN ANTONIO AND DALLAS THAT HAVE WORKED VERY HARD TO CHANGE THE LAWS IN THEIR CITIES - AND HAVE MADE A LOT OF HEADWAY.  CORPUS REFUSES TO!!!
