What happened to our rights? ALEC and conservative legislators were behind it - sending out horrible legislation that destroys collective bargaining, reproductive rights, and everything we stand for.
ALEC just had their 38th annual conference - that's 38 years of model legislation shoved through state legislatures.
A litany of corporations that you and I patronize sponsored this hate-filled conference. It's time we sent a letter to each and everyone of them.

It has come to my attention that your company attended and sponsored the American Legislative Exchange Council's 38th Annual Conference in New Orleans.
A conference for an organization that has been behind the destruction of my and other rights. Those include our rights to collective bargaining, fair wage, clean air and water, reproductive freedom and immigration rights.
A conference that distributed a pamphlet that wrote of the LGBT community horribly - spreading lies such as homosexuals are more likely to molest children and that they can change their sexual orientation.
I am appalled that you would sponsor such an event that sought to divide the American people so vociferously. I am appalled that you would sponsor an organization that is destroying the middle class.
Please stop putting your money on such socially and economically destructive organizations. I ask that you make an apology to the American people for being part of this hate-filled conference.
It's not right. Not at all.
