Stop Bear Farming in China

This petition is aimed to help end bear farming in China. These beautiful bears should not suffer and/or die for something that can be created artificially without animals being harmed. Please help!

Dear Ambassador,

We the undersigned would like to thank the China Wildlife Conservation Association and the Sichuan Forestry Department for closing selected bear farms and releasing hundreds of bears into the care Animals Asia. Your continued effort to promote herbal and synthetic alternatives to bear bile are highly appreciated. We urgently appeal to the Chinese government to end bear farming by the end of 2010 at the latest. Please find attached a petition signed by (number of signatures will be added here) animal friends from all over the world.

I've been impressed with the recently changes made by the Chinese in protecting pets and other animals. Their programs for protecting Panda's, for one example, are more than impressive and I was happy to see the new law against animal abuse get enacted too. I hope the Chinese will continue the momentum and do more to improve their international reputation and their place on the world stage. We saw such marvelous and exotic things when we visited there (even via television) for the Olympics. I hope we see more great things from China as it ends animal cruelty across the board. It would be great to see an end to bear farming next, and I know we'd all applaud such a wonderful and positive step in animal treatment.

I believe this cind of hman behavior comes out of silly tradition or by forcing poor people to earn theire money that way! There must be other possibilitys in each case! Animals must not suffer under our problems or unwill to change!

It is completely disgusting what goes up in China!!! I wish I could be there to take these people and put THEM in these cages the bears are hold in and let THEM through everything the bears have to suffer under!!!
