Stop Cigarette Butt litter!!!

Target:
make it a crime of littering  to not dispose of your cigarette butts properly...
Sponsored by:
I recently saw a program on the planet green network , which talked about how CIGARETTE BUTTS are the number one BIGGEST litter problem world wide.. there are BILLIONS AND BILLIONS of cigarette butts thrown away in our streets, on our sidewalks, flushed into our sewers, and all ending up in our waterways from storm drains etc. and eventually into our oceans.  They are a choking hazard for wildlife who mistake them for food.. and they pollute the waters and oceans which interrupts and upsets the delicate balance of nature that keeps this planet alive.   One Cigarette Butt may not seem like much to anyone, but look around you.. they are everywhere we go, only to be washed into the future water supplies we will depend on tomorrow.   My thought is this If every smoker simply becomes responsible for his or her own cigarette butts to assure that they make their way to the landfill to be buried rather than left out in the open... Then in the not too distant future we will see a much cleaner world that is safer for our wildlife and our children..   I don't believe that a smoker should not have the right to smoke, If they wish to that is for them to decide.. I'm only asking for them to be responsible for each and every cigarette butt they have left after a cigarette.

So disturbing on why people can be so idiotic on not keeping our planet clean. Please enforce Litterbugs to do the right thing. In Louisiana we are proud of our culture and we are trying to teach the next generation the same respect. They have so many laws on Littering but it can be solved about people calling and resolving the problem.

We must put the environment first, or else the future generations might not have a sustainable world!
