Stop Coyote/Fox Penning in Indiana

Send a message to Indiana's State Legislators that you want coyote/fox penning stopped and the sale of coyotes & foxes to out of state coyote/fox pens illegal.

Ask them to speak to the Natural Resources Commission before their meeting on November 16th where they will be voting to allow coyote/fox penning in Indiana.

If you're not familiar with this cruel practice check out this site from the Humane Society of the United States   www.humanesociety.org/issues/fox_penning/
Things generally don't end well for the disoriented wild-caught coyotes & foxes.  They are torn apart by packs of dogs.
We, the undersigned, ask that you contact the Department of Natural Resources and the Natural Resources Commission to protest the pending preliminary adopting of rules to allow coyote/fox pens to permanently operate in Indiana.  If the Commission votes to preliminarily adopt these rules, we are essentially codifying a form of dog fighting in the state of Indiana.

In pens, dogs are judged on how they chase fenced foxes and coyotes which when caught die a horrific and violent death.  This is practiced in just a limited number of states.  In fact, Florida just recently banned pens.  This is an inappropriate government action, privatization of the wildlife that, by Indiana code, is the property of all Indiana residents and frankly, an inhumane waste of resources.

As a voter, I am deeply concerned about this and I request that you please take the appropriate action to stop this abuse of our wildlife.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.
